So how do you usually see Taiwan? Is it grouped with Japan and Korea, or viewed differently? You may want to live either in Japan as a Zainichi or korea as a sexpat loser but how about Taiwan?

Learn the differences between Japanese people and other Asians.

While “Chin-Chon-Chan” is considered a derogatory term for Asians,
“Chin” is a common name among Chinese people,
“Chon” is a common name among Koreans,
“Chan” is a common name among Chinese people.
That’s why it refers to them—and why I don’t feel anything when it’s said to me as a Japanese person.

>>
>>533246906
Why would it be grouped with Japan or Korea
It's literally China. It doesn't matter if you think it's "the real China" or "fake China" but regardless of your perspective it's some sort of China
>>
I think it's fucking hilarious that the KMT are the ones pushing for reunification with China. They are the people that fought the ChiComs in the civil war, fucked off to Taiwan and ruled it with an iron fist until the 1980s. Now they'd rather reunite with the mainland than be under the heel of the USA.

Fair enough too.

China could take Taiwan tomorrow simply for the reason the orange idiot wasted so many missiles in the gulf.

What a retard.
>>
>>533249489
Honestly if they don't take it I think it means they are even weaker than the paper tiger meme says.
Trump just showed how shit the US is at warfare right now.
I hope they don't do that, but honestly if it damages the current kike order maybe I would be okay with it. If the US goes into a crisis and can't find any loyalty to the state, they might be forced to be pro White again on some level.
>>
>>533249571

I think the Chinese are just milking how invested America and the rest of us are in for them to supply us cheap shit. Our supply chains go right back to China now, even for military stuff. The longer they can keep doing that, the stronger they get.

America doesn't seem capable or even interested in stopping China.

They are the legitimate government of the island of Taiwan, since they are the democratically elected government of the people living on that island.

They are not the legitimate government of mainland China.
>>

It is a two way street though, China's entire economy also revolves around selling the west cheap shit. Their population is so huge that they need all the jobs. Since they are geographically close, it stands to reason that they are genetically close as well.
Since a person’s appearance is influenced not only by genes but also by climate and diet,
this simply means that their cultures differ significantly.
In other words, overall, Koreans and Chinese are essentially the same.

It’s the same as how Germans and Spaniards don’t look alike but are genetically close.

Baka gaijin here, I have never been to Taiwan, but I interact with them constantly in Japan.

From what I can gather, they have a quite good standard of living, similar or slightly superior to that of Japan.

But they have no culture.
It's all Chinese, yet they do not see themselves as Chinese, so they are on a limbo, there is a huge identity vacuum. And they fill it with modern culture and media, becoming a soulless people.

Very similar to South Korea in that aspect, except South Korea also became a major producer of vapid content, not just a consumer. Taiwan just takes whatever it can get from Japan.

Their population is declining fast, young people are all individualistic, and as much as they don't consider themselves Chinese, they have almost all of the same bad habits, except for personal hygiene, which they are good at.
They have the same issue with being rude, loud, breaking rules they don't agree with, throwing money at problems, being secretive and upholding clan behavior in their host nation. Clan behavior is natural, but they truly isolate, other peoples at least try to socialize a little and figure out the rest of the social landscape.

Appearance-wise they are not that distinct from the Japanese, although their phenotypes are more limited than that of the Japs.

Due to aculturation, they are very liberal in a destructive way, it is not political, more like hedonistic.

And they have the same poor academic mindset of being memorization insects that can't learn anything from intuition, it is really sad to see. Although I have met some outliers whose minds I loved, very intelligent and autistic people.

As a nation, their only truly based aspect is keeping Traditional Chinese instead of simplified slop.

>since they were founded by nationalists rather than communists and did all the real legwork in WW2

1) Most Taiwanese people are descended from Chinese men who arrived from Southern China during the Ming and Qing. Neither nationalism nor communism existed yet. They drove the indigenous people to near extinction and stole their women and land and killed or assimilated them. Taiwan was ceded to Japan after the Qing lost the First Sino-Japanese War in 1895. Everybody in Taiwan was given a choice, move to mainland China if you want to stay Chinese or convert to being Japanese if you want to keep living in Taiwan.

2) During WW2 Taiwan was part of Japan and Taiwanese fought for Japan. Taiwan only became part of the ROC *after* Japan lost WW2 and everybody in Taiwan was forced to revert back to being Chinese.

Their perception is that Taiwanese culture is based on Hokkien and Hakka culture from Southern China, mixed with Austronesian aboriginal culture and Japanese culture.

definitely somewhere along the lines of Japan or Korea but with less magnitude. I think it's one of the most interesting countries in the world today. In one century they went from overthrowing a 2000 year old dynasty, to nearly getting overthrown themselves, to becoming a keystone in global trade after running away to an island. I think it's probably a good thing that island was insulated from the great leap forward.

About 12% of Taiwan’s population is descended from the nationalists who lost the Chinese Civil War and fled to Taiwan.

9/10ths of Taiwan’s population has absolutely no connection at all to what you described.

what the fuk are u even talking about?
cherry picking and leaving out the intro part of google search?

>>search on google ethnic makeup of taiwan

Hoklo/Minnan (Taiwanese Hokkien): The largest group, making up around 70–72% of the population, with roots in southern Fujian province, having arrived largely before 1945.

Over 95% of Taiwan's 23.4 million people are Han Taiwanese, categorized into Hoklo (approx. 70%), Hakka (12–15%), and "mainlanders" (waishengren) who arrived post-1945. The remainder includes about 2.3–2.5% indigenous Austronesian peoples, along with a growing number of foreign spouses and residents. The population is largely a result of historical immigration from mainland China mixed with long-standing indigenous communities.

Native vs. Mainlander: The Hoklo and Hakka are often referred to as "native Taiwanese" (benshengren) because they migrated before 1945, while "mainlanders" arrived later.

did u just copy paste from google and somehow cut the parts where it obviously says chinese.

No they don’t call the shots anymore and have not since the late 1980s.

The flag like the official name ROC is a grandfathered in relic of a bygone era.

Those that fled China have mostly died at this point. Most left their family behind in China. They were originally forbidden from marrying Taiwanese women. Although it was lifted still many of them remained single and lonely for life. Many killed themselves or immigrated from o the US. The descendants of those who remarried to Taiwanese women are a small disappearing and disgruntled minority in Taiwan. They are unhappy with the taiwanization that has occurred since the 90s and in response to Taiwan changing, most now support closer ties with the PRC.

I mean it was created before they had DNA tests and part of the scientific theory is that the Japanese people are descended from the Japanese deity Amaterasu and the Korean people from Susanoo, her younger brother.

So modern DNA does confirm that modern Japanese people are about 9/10ths Korean invader and 1/10th original indigenous Japanese so that part of the theory is basically true. But the part of the theory about them both being descendants of those two sibling god and goddess is umm not super scientific by modern standards.

Taiwan is literally China. It is the country of China, it houses the government of China.
There are two Chinas, it doesn't change the fact that they're both China.

We couldn't even point to it on a map, or Tibet, xingiang, but we're quiet sure that none of them belong to China, because that's what we decided.

We don't even remember the time we invaded China, burnt half of it down, sacked Beijing, dethroned their monarchy. Our awareness of the opium war is effectively nill, we just know the Chinese migrants who came here fucking loved opium. Our awareness of the boxer rebellion is limited mostly to IP man, despite watching at 4,5,6 of them the subtext is totally lost on us and we can't tell the difference between jet li, Bruce li, Jackie Chan and the Hawaiian guy from mythbusters. Our knowledge of Chinese culture comes mainly from fortune cookies and Thai prostitutes.

But I ask you hanbanniggers. Does our total ignorance of China make us weak and stupid?
Or does your empire just mean nothing, did every Chinese empire mean nothing, and were all of them trampled by tiny foreign armies who had no idea who you even were? Doesn't our sheer ignorance scare you a little.

We also have literally no idea who the Taiwanese are, whether they're Chinese, Indian, African, Japanese, no idea. But we also don't care, Taiwan doesn't belong to China because that's what we decided, so who exactly they are means nothing to us.

You know this seven dash line business where the Chinese emperor just looked at a map and said "that is mine"? Well western powers did the same thing on google earth. We made a whole call of duty game about how those islands are ours, many people think these islands only exist in the video game and are not real, but either way, they belong to us.

What happens in Taiwan, what do they produce, do we pack winter, summer or tropical uniforms? Often we invade counties with the wrong uniform because we couldn't evenbe bothered to check. We've done that what...6 times? The seven nation army didn't even have matching arm bands they just turned up in whatever they were wearing the day before. Defend Taiwan? From who? It belongs to us. If we turn up it will be in the wrong uniforms, we will land in Taiwan and fight everyone who isn't white and doesn't run away, probably trash Taiwan, then when we realise how close it is to China we will invade China and trash it as well. Because that's exactly what we did when seizing Japan, we realised China was really close. We didn't even want China it just happened to be next to Japan, and we like islands.

Everyone Confucius until they get punched in the face by someone who mistook them for jackie Chan.

Made funnier by the fact we seized India, Iran and China, and still can't tell you anything about them or where they are.

The Americans don't even remember the last time we took Iran, they think it's a different country. That was the Iranians main fuck up, they renamed the place so the Americans thought it was one they hadn't invaded yet.

A lot of Americans thing Osama bin laden runs Iran, because they've got it mixed up with Iraq... and Syria.
But common theme is that they are sand counties, so oil, Muslims, counties that are no fun so we just bomb and go home

Pretty sure that China is only 50 years old, the Japanese burnt the whole place down before that.

And before that we burnt it down, before that was is the mongols or the Taiwanese? They both burnt it down as well.

So I'm pretty sure that there have been a dozen or more empires in the same place but they just kept getting destroyed.

Man, it’s China and Chinese culture that is the problem, not “communism”. Taiwan is a good place because it is a post- Chinese society.
