Their contribution is their labor and their offspring, most of whom are put to work, as they have Bronze Souls, not souls of silver or gold. But the few worker bees who produce warrior or guardian quality children get to have their children elevated by the State to the status befitting their nature, as warriors or philosophers discerning the good and right way. The Guardians are never allowed to handle gold or silver, since just handling these extraordinary metals corrupts people. And it's true. Feel a bar of gold in your hand. It feels special and different and almost magical: the heft, the uncanny density. So the rulers of the Republic are not money-oriented in any way. All they care about is knowledge, and all knowledge is ultimately knowledge of the Good, since evil is just ignorance and lack of knowledge, and thus evil is irrationality. A society like this could never find itself subverted by Jewish tricks, since Jews depend on bribery and overturning the Good, replacing it with depravity to appeal to men of weak nature. This is how Jews take over. They feed natural vices of men. But a society led by Guardians would see this coming a mile a way and snuff it out immediately. All Jewish subversion efforts would be crushed in an instant in Plato's Republic.
