My father tells of a story where he once replied to a Facebook status of a Jewish business associate of his with a light hearted joke about the weather.The Jew, for some reason, took great offence to this joken and replied with a long paragraph before promptly deleting my father from his friend's list. My father is a softly spoken man and would, after a few glasses of wine at the kitchen table, open up somewhat regarding his feelings towards Israel, and his many years of business dealings with The Jews.

Despite giving away a good chunk of his hard earned salary to taxes, he doesnt seem to mind how the government just squanders the taxpayer's money.The guy traded his time for money a bit too eagerly. He died when I was in my early twenties. We didn't have any major issues with eachother but neither of us was a very affectionate person, I wouldn't exactly describe us as especially close. His politics were more left-wing than mine but we were both fairly moderate, he was a big labour guy and a trade union man, I'm essentially an institutional conservative.

My dad was a boomer who liked /pol/ memes, he wasn't smart or mature enough to have actual informed opinions on things but he had a profound sense that things had gone wrong. He was glued to Fox News and used social media for his airplane autism instead of looking up anything important.
