Fun fact: Episcopalians have higher IQs than Jews in the United States. Evangelicals like Baptists and Pentecostals have the lowest.
>>
>>533398570
Presbyterians, Episcopalians...who are these people?
>>
>>533398689
Episcopalians are Anglicans(Church of England). Presbyterianism is a Reformed tradition from Scotland.
>>
>>533398570
interesting maybe ill go check out my anglican church.
got a source for this table?

Episcopalians are the Church of England but in America. We recognize the bishop of Canterbury. It’s the traditional religion of the founding stock. That and freemasonry
>>
>>533398769
It probably has to do with the amount of Puritan ancestry among members. Early Puritan settlers were mostly members of the business elite back in England.
>>
>>533398689
Calvinist chads
>>
>>533398570
I could believe it. My grandparents went to an Episcopal church and my grandpa was a math professor at a Navy intelligence training school during the Cold War. I read some of his lectures and it was about calculating the effectiveness of tactics and equipment. One of the takeaways from it was that US market dynamics in weapons development gave us not only the best weapons, but the most and was a huge part of why we were able to defeat the Soviets. Dude had a house full of Russian calculus books and a car phone in the 80s.
>>
>>533398942
I'd say Evangelicals are more similar to Puritans religiously, they spread out, even if ethnically maybe not. Anglicans are not Calvinist in the slightest and are basically half assed Catholics.
>>
>>533399201
They are all turbolibtards, except for tucker cuckson.
>>
>>533399264
Actually they tend to be politically moderate.
>>
>>533398570
WASP gods…
>>
>>533398570
Evangelicals are retards so this isn’t surprising. Evangelicals need to be put in concentration camps

What?

>>533399555
Mizrahi, Shepardi and Arabs bringing down the score. High Ashkenazi IQ is mainly verbal however and explains why there are so many Jewish lawyers.
>>
>>533399201
Here Anglicans are almost always middle to upper class. You have to be very certain of your place in society to commit to it and get anything out of it.
>>
>let's debate about what race is smart by debating a picture of a table from god knows what study
kind of ironic
>>
>>533398570
>Episcopalians
you can just say Anglicans or C of E. you don't need to use this retarded mutt cope word.
>>
>>533398570
how are methodists higher than presbyterians and lutherans? retarded

they are not Church of England as they have their own leadership, like Church of Ireland. the one in Scotland is also called Episcopalian, calling it Anglican rubs some people the wrong way even though the tradition comes from here. it's meant to be open to anyone as it's still Christian.
>>
>>533400014
Aren’t all English people Anglicans (other than browns)?
>>
>>533400088
This is explicitly only of White Americans. Note also that even the dumbest group has an average IQ of 106.
>>
>>533400303
no, even in the 1800s there were many different christian branches in England that were competing with each other which is why it was so religious. this Episcopolian and Puritan tradition is going back to almost the middle ages, it's old.
>>
>>533400301
>they are not Church of England as they have their own leadership,
>like Church of Ireland.
>the one in Scotland is also called Episcopalian
yes, it's all coping and seething and it's all Anglican no matter what these insecure faggots say.
>>
>>533398942
>It probably has to do with the amount of Puritan ancestry among members.
Huh? Puritans were not Anglican. They were Congregationalists and the progenitors of Evangelicals.
>>
>>533400395
How about the postwar era? I thought the puritans all moved to America, are there any left!
>>
>>533400395
Anglicans like Catholics also have a strong emphasis on infant baptism (called 'christening') unlike other Protestant sects. if you miss that you miss being an Anglican, it's passed on in a way, like class.
>>
>>533400301
in reality i don't care that much, it's just the fucking word
>Episcopalian
wtf? there's loads of words. why did they have to pick one that sounds retarded? you end up choking on your own tonsils tryna say shit like that.
>>
>>533400014
That checks out with the church they went to. Not a cheap town and it was a small church where I’d be shocked if anyone was poor. Definitely upper middle to upper. They took piss poor care of their house but it would still go for over a million and possibly approaching 2 these days.

That church is probably going to close in the next 10-15 years though if I had to guess, most of the congregation are 70 or older and there weren’t many young people last time I went.
>>
>>533398570
This is bullshit.
>>
>>533400395
>Puritan tradition
this was just cryptojews that had been expelled from yuroop doing degenerate shit and fucking with people.
>>
>>533398570
>Evangelicals like Baptists and Pentecostals have the lowest.
Yeah no shit.
>>
>>533400613
The young White New Englander's religion is negrolatry. Tragic.
>>
>>533400553
in the post war era Christianity in general is holding on by a thread, but if you know the specifics you can pick out what kind of church does what. Puritan is more like an adjective describing something like Evangelical rather than a branch which is why I started it with my comment >>533399233 the gayest Lutheran church could become Puritan if they wanted to turn things around, in theory.

The South is the stronghold of the Anglican / Episcopal church in the US. Always has been.

> The Episcopal Church, with roughly 1.5 million members as of 2023, shows highest concentrations in the South (45%) and Northeast (31%).

Hello rabbi again . . . kek
>>
>>533401116
Anglicans like Catholics tend to worship in a cathedral because there's a whole bureaucracy and tradition behind it they have to follow. the appeal of being Calvinist is that they can set up a church anywhere, they don't even need a building, and if they're Baptist, dip in a pool and they're in the club, all is forgiven.
>>
>>533398570
i was doing some research before trying to find the most 'pragmatic' denomination, ie who doesnt really care about the jewish theology and mysticism and mainly cares about the community and social aspects of it, which i'm drawn to.
and apparently the 'Quakers' fit the bill the most
with organizations like;
>Religious Society of Friends
there wasnt any org near me though
i was surprised though that such a group even existed in the first place, seems the healthiest way to treat this semite desert religion
>>
>>533400602
because it's snobby which is probably why they have higher IQs. dumb people wouldn't convert to a religion they can't pronounce
>>
>>533402025
also interestingly, there was an org in a town nearby and it was predominantly asian, according to the google pictures.
seems like something the asians would be into. community aspects without the jew worship.
>>
>>533402025
Quakers are almost new age-cultish, they do meditation and probably finger painting and things like that. it's for people who can't afford a therapist. most people probably join for the same reason you did and leave just as fast.
>>
>>533399371
I don't think that's true, depends how you define "moderate"
>>
>>533398570
I grew up in a Pentecostal church, and the education/IQ/wealth of the congregants is really church-location dependent. The one I grew up in in Chicago was very classist and competitive. Everyone would be trying to get the fanciest cars, hottest wives, best jobs, etc. The Pentecostal churches in the south, the ones where they look like they’re having a seizure, are very redneck and low IQ.

I’m a 13th generation Episcopalian born in Pennsylvania, family landed in Connecticut originally. Last time my iq was tested was in grade school but it was 135. Whole family is solidly democrat, though I think we’re mostly on the same page that the entire government and political landscape is captured by big businesses and an elite with no sense of civic duty or respect. Republicans have always been the party of closeted gay elites and their back water hillbilly horde they manipulate. Now the democrats seem to be mostly a party of openly faggy white collar try hards that manipulate their own horde of purposefully uneducated people of color. This country deserves to die, I think about where my family could relocate to avoid as much of this as possible but the issue seems pretty global. Backwards bug eating China is looking shockingly better and better which only portends worse for everywhere else.
>>
>>533402643
Pentecostal is based on 'prosperity theology' which therefore makes it kind of Evangelical. the idea that if you have God's favour he will reward you materially as well as spiritually.
>>
>>533402788
My dad used to say “the Jews are just as bad as the Italians, at least the blacks pimp women out in the open”

I used to get really frustrated with him for saying things like that out in the open but now I absolutely get what he was saying.
>>
>>533398689
They are the WASPS. I.e. the old/founding stock of the U.S.
>>
>>533402643
I can see that being the case. Evangelical Christianity has its roots in the North. and was introduced to the South during the Great Awakenings. The wealthier planter class types ignored people like Lorenzo Dow but the missionaries found receptive ears among the poor settlers in the backcountry. I live in the South and most of the "better people" here wouldn't be caught dead in a Pentecostal church
>>
>>533402930
to clarify what the terms actually mean or what I think they mean
>Puritan - simplifying Christianity to a basic, usually stricter, form
>Evangelical - focusing on converting as many people as possible

not necessarily the same thing and can be mutually exclusive
>>
>>533400586
Interesting bit of lore for you. Due to the penal laws Irish Catholics started the station mass tradition. Still happens. Mass in home, bless the house followed by sandwiches music and drinks. Even if you're not religious it's a decent way to bond with neighbors
