I used Copilot (at work, I have no choice, I have to "find use cases" for AI per management) to format a SQL query for me because I was being lazy. It hallucinated and gave me nonsense from this extremely simple task. Thankfully I knew what the output was supposed to be. But plenty of retarded people are going to use AI as the excuse to not actually learn how to do anything, and they will use hallucinations in production environments because they don't know what they are actually trying to do in the first place.

Never going to happen. AI has already peaked. The problem these companies have is the training data. The more AI generated content there is, the lower the quality of training data becomes. It's akin to inbreeding in humans. The errors will amplify themselves over time with every new model. With no humans doing the work there will be no new good data, only bad data. I currently have a job that's pretty secure with a bit above modal salary. I can get a promotion to get a job analyzing the performance of the organization and advising management. It pays really well. But I feel it's exactly something that can be done with AI.
