But what you will completely leave out is that you already obsessed over iq enough to know all these things, even just what raven progressive matrices stand for, therefore its also safe to assume you bothered learning how to actually solve them, 90% of which you can solve by understanding like 5 patterns. So while it has a decent correlation for first-time takers when it comes to academic success, it's also the easiest one to abuse. And with all that said, the average iq for phds in most fields is below 120, so the median is even lower. The average iq for math phds is 125, so the median is even lower. There are people with better reasoning abilities than you who will get a lower score, just because they didn't bother learning the algorithm.
