In the present, culture shifts so quickly that a father and son grew up in two wildly different cultures and can barely understand each others lived experiences. Those in charge of society take advantage of this fact to further divide and conquer everyone by labeling separate generations and pitting them against each other.

I’m from the end of 94 and I’ve always felt trapped between two worlds desu.I’m old enough to remember 9/11 but I don’t really identify with the stereotypical millennial culture. All of my friends are younger than me. I’m not a true zoomer either though. Probably doesn’t help that I didn’t graduate college until my late 20s. Now that I think about it I never did spend all that much time around other “millennials” when I was growing up…

Up until industrialism where the way the world interacts is changing rapidly generations wouldn't matter so much since people would be doing the same exact thing their grandpa did it with little changes due to technology. It just is what it is, the world is moving on from things and into other things so rapidly the experience of different generations is different. The biggest problem is when people want to wash the baby out with the bathwater and decide because technology we need to change our character and morals. You shouldn't listen to those people.
