I would respect psychologists more if they would hypnotize me instead of just sitting in a chair talking

I went to a psychiatrist to get drugs. It's so easy, you just research the symptoms and say yeah I have a hard time focusing, boom amphetamines. I have anxiety, here's some benzos, etc.

Women also suffer in this kiked society. I knew one who was prescribed shit pills and became addict to it.
It made her more mentally unstable than anything.
She was /pol/ tier and they got her. How many similar cases? Im tired boss.

The fact some people go to therapy for years shows it doesn't work.
>>
I had a court mandated therapist and what I realized is therapy is exactly like chatgpt but worse because you can't digress as much without hitting a wall.

Huh weird. My mood swings and negative thoughts went away.

There's plenty of psychology that works, it's just not used because the industry is based around getting money from women who love to talk. It's like how fast food is everywhere but that doesn't mean real food doesn't exist.

I had to stop doing that stuff man. The 3 day hangover is something I can't do in my adult working life.
Shits fun though love me some triple C's
>>
>>533426486
There's a book by a psychologist who believes this is the exact failure of psychology.
He talks about how we individualised societal failures as "brain chemistry" and such, rather than the public policy collapses that they are.

Origins of Unhappiness by David Smail, absolutely worth a read.

I see you have not taken your Soma today.

Soma is a fictional, government-produced, habit-forming narcotic in Aldous Huxley's Brave New World (1932), used to ensure social stability by inducing instant, artificial euphoria. It acts as a "holiday" from reality, eliminating discomfort, sadness, and tension without hangover-like side effects. Citizens use it to maintain complacency, while the state uses it to prevent social unrest and ensure unquestioning obedience.

If you decided to go talk to a woman with the hopes of solving your mental problems you were never going to make it anyway. Women can be empathetic and listen, sure, but they don't have the same drive to actually solve problems the way men do. Look at how women react to problems at work. Their immediate reaction is just to complain and gossip until the problem finally makes its way to the nearest man to solve for them.

Also that Freudian psychiatry is at best a pseudo-science. Freud was a grifter. The grift is for you to go in an replay traumatic memories in your mind once a week so that you feel you're making progress, that it's like a growing pain. When all they're doing is just milking you for money. If they actually solve your problems in a few weeks they wouldn't be able to make a profession of it. You must keep coming back to sessions. You must numb your mind with drugs. Only then can the illusion of progress can seem convincing.

Thank you OP for starting this thread.
If these people had existed in the 1760s/1770s they'd be warning us about the growing mental health crisis in the American colonies. They'd be pushing for more therapy to solve the growing toxic masculinity crisis and the rise of the alt-right minutemen/freemen who want to revolt against the Crown.
"The intersection of a mental health crisis among men, the perpetuation of "toxic" or rigid masculine norms, and radicalization into alt-right or militia groups is a growing area of concern for researchers and mental health professionals. Research indicates that traditional masculine norms—such as stoicism, self-reliance, and emotional suppression—prevent men from seeking help, leading to higher rates of suicide, depression, and isolation. Such men are also more likely to hold anti-British views and are likely to belong to militias intent on overthrowing the Crown and replacing it with an American republic."
You Yanks would still be British subjects if these lunatics had their way.

>Dating a girl
>Learn she takes a cocktail of pills everyday
>Might be BiPolar and one pill keeps that side in check
>Ask her who am I talking to? Is it the real you or do you feel like you're out of body when on the pills
>She tears up and says "I don't know"
I legit was just curious and not trying to be a dick or funny. These pills feel like a alien world to me. I don't know how these pills change a persons mind and I'm sure it's double hell for a woman. I still think about what she said till this day. Hope she's ok.

Yeah, kinda like the holocaust, this is one of those things where so many people are convinced, that even a smart individual will gaslight themselves just because it’s hard to believe that your entire society, including people you respect, could fall for a lie.
I was forced to do years of therapy as a kid, and then forced as an adult due to court, and eventually, to keep getting free Medicaid I had to do therapy.
Never helped me once, and I even went into it thinking “well may as well get something out of it”
Essentially a midwit stereotypical “spiritual Buddhist” white woman taught me how to be liberal and that was it.
The hilarious part is that if these people actually read Buddhist texts they’d realize it’s actually a patriarchal restrictive religion.
The reason roasties love new age and misunderstandings of Buddhism so much, is because it allows them to quench their natural religiosity without making any sacrifices or doing anything “hard” (except this months Chad’s dick of course)

My life was so shit I finally caved and went to a shrink. I was diagnosed at age 30 with ADHD and autism and medicated with vyvanse. This is the single greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I am now successful and respected because of my work, which would be impossible to focus on for more than 10 minutes had I not been given vyvanse.

I fucking love psychiatrists. Great people. Mine wasnt a woman it was an old white dude.

I can't stress enough how helpful walking is. I walk between 15 and 20km every day in the woods/trail. I used to be fat and depressed. It takes me 2 or 3 hours to cover that distance. I start at 5PM after work and I'm back home by 8PM or a bit earlier. Works out great. Been doing it for 5 years... dropped 40kg (88 pounds?), feel really good, if I get annoyed by someone or something or angry even it all drops away 20 mins into my walk. I noticed colds/flu that I get during winter last a lot shorter and I get over them much easier, some quick searches said that's linked to better lung health due to the walks. My mood is much better, no longer feel like shit. I am eagerly awaiting every walk. It's like a drug with no side effects.
