MFW the Bolsheviks wouldn't have taken over, if it wasn't for Kerensky's Prigozhin-tier retardation
From the moment the Germans sent Lenin to Russia via Finland after the February Revolution, he was already prosecuted by the republican government and openly denounced as a german agent-provocateur (keep in mind Russia was *at war* with Germany). When the republican government doubled-down on the war, more deaths and no progress led to the July Days outburst which was pacified by the government. The Bolshevik Red Guards were disarmed (!) and Lenin again went into hiding!

Then at the end of August 1917 prime minister Kerensky (of the Socialist Revolutionary Party, mind you) ordered Col. Kornilov back to Petrograd with his regiment to neutralize the Bolsheviks once and for all.
After Kornilov set off from the Baltics, Kerensky suddenly had a change of mind and started to fear Kornilov could oust him in a coup once he arrived, a fear that mounted once Kornilov stopped replying to Kerensky's letters while en route. So what did he do? He re-armed the bolsheviks (!) and even went as far as having the railroad workers dismantle the train tracks leading to Petrograd to disturb Kornilov's advance. On the approach to Petrograd, lacking support, the confused Kornilov abandoned the effort. This is now known as the Kornilov affair
>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kornilov_affair

The rifles that Kerensky gifted to the Bolsheviks in a fit of cowardice and retarded politicking were the very same rifles with which he was overthrown by them just 1.5 months later in what is now known as the "October Revolution" or more aptly the Bolshevik/October coup
It's crazy how a single retard, with a single retarded decision, can fuck up history and the entire world so much

AI because im lazy and its a stupid portuguese joke:
The Context

In 1974, following the Carnation Revolution, Portugal was in a state of revolutionary flux. Henry Kissinger was deeply pessimistic, convinced that the country was destined to fall under Communist control. He viewed Soares—a moderate Socialist—as a weak figure who was accidentally paving the way for a total Marxist takeover.
The Exchange

During a meeting in Washington D.C., the tension between the two men peaked:

Kissinger: (Skeptical of Soares' ability to stop the Communists) "You are a Kerensky... I believe your sincerity, but you are naive."
(Referring to Alexander Kerensky, the moderate leader of the 1917 Russian Provisional Government who was easily overthrown by Lenin's Bolsheviks.)

Soares: (Defiant) "I certainly do not want to be a Kerensky."

Kissinger: (Quickly retorted) "Neither did Kerensky."

Nicholas II was the one responsible for it all. A weakling who abdicated because of some shitty overblown protests.
>>
>>533429615
february revolution is kind of a sham too, though still more of a revolution (because of actual mass protests and grassroots unrest) than the october "revolution" lol
Nicholas II stepped down because all the military and political leaders pressured him to do so
>>
and the reason he stepped down is because they convinced him the war would be fought better without him

Its always the usual suspects that are responsible. And there is even no credible evidence the czar really died. Secretly in some Yekaterinburg basement? Aylmao. Masonic hoax 100%. Real opposition dies like Gaddafi

That's how womens day started internationally.

It's insane to think about how unlikely the bolsheviks actually were to succeed in spite of it being treated as kind of inevitable nowadays. Their success was basically the result of every other faction fucking up so royally that they accidentally stumbled into power, and even that only managed to last because on top of that, Russia's "allies" abandoned and straight up betrayed the Whites to the bolsheviks, though of course the Whites themselves fucked up many chances for victory via retarded infighting.

>It's insane to think about how unlikely the bolsheviks actually were to succeed in spite of it being treated as kind of inevitable nowadays.
you can thank soviet propaganda for that, legitimizing themselves was one of their biggest priorities. framing that shitshow into marxist historical materialism has succeeded to the degree that even russians themselves think the bolsheviks toppled the tsar and were inevitable, they got many fooled
>>
>>533430510
>they got many fooled
Still do
>>
>>533430510
Also thinking they didn't have powerful (((people))) from the west helping them is foolish
>>
>>533430510
I also find the notion that the two revolutions came about because the Russian population was war weary and wanted to basically surrender to Germany very funny, especially considering the civil war ended up being much more devastating to civilians than the world war. Not even the bolsheviks wanted to end the war on unfavourable terms, continuing to fight for several months until their own demoralization and sabotage ended up backfiring and making organized resistance against Germany impossible. Kerensky was also of course the biggest retard of them all, launching a pointless offensive while the army was still in a state of chaos and demoralization instead of just stalling and rebuilding strength. The state of the Russian army wasn't nearly as bad as it is always made out to be, having survived far worse situations earlier in the war.
