When a leftist says they believe in gun rights what they usually mean is a European style system where after numerous applications and interviews you get the privilege of "owning" a target rifle that is kept at a gun range an hour from your house. You have the privilege of going to the gun range and using it and then returning the gun to the range lockup, never taking it home or out of the range.
