You may be told a line needs x done so you see if you have parts on hand or if you need to order. By the time you figure out what you need to order and have it planned out your PO gets denied because priorities change.Basically, you will feel unfulfilled because you never really finish a project. Or deadlines are too short to properly get something working so you do a bandaid fix that becomes permanent. Not to mention overtime. If you get this type of job make sure it is hourly because you will be doing 50+ hours a week minimum. Do the math if you want to be sure hourly will be better. And due to the nature of the job you cannot work on some machines until production is done which means weekend work at the drop of a hat or having to work holidays where everyone else is off. Make sure you have double time added on holidays for your contract.And as always after you get a few years at a place and arent learning anything new job hop. Companies want to get rid of you because you cost so much money. Dont sit and be passive.
