Planes are a superior aircraft
>>
>>533454682
because it didn´t pollute the air
>>
>>533454682
they replaced it with airplanes with Indian software and Chinese parts

come on now

If planes are so great then why are they small?

the cigar shape in extreme weather though will get rattled around and ripped apart easily by the wrong wind gust. solution is recent and in early production: use vortex props to keep the flat surfaces of the undercarriage sealed to the ground.
another problem is docking them, housing them.
I think they are beautiful and there should be more, but maybe the future is using helium to float orb cities or something like that. we should have more floating structures that have housing in them or something like that.
>>
>>533454682
they didn't
>>533454740
they aren't

Airships have new life as heavy lift cargo.
>>
Ngl i kinda agree with them here, yeah they look cool but when they burn they kill you a lot.
>>
>>533455018
because they can generate lift without the use of massive chambers filled with fucking hydrogen
>>
>>533455194
If they were efficient they would still be used. Hydrogen ones are too dangerous, and helium is too rare/expensive. If we had a cheap plentiful source of helium they'd be everywhere
>>
>>533455319
Jet fuel can belt steel beams. That’s way more dangerous

masonic numerology airship!
R101 was one of a pair of British rigid airships completed in 1929 as part of the Imperial Airship Scheme, a British government programme to develop civil airships capable of service on long-distance routes within the British Empire. It was designed and built by an Air Ministry–appointed team and was effectively in competition with the government-funded but privately designed and built R100. When built, it was the world's largest flying craft[3] at 731 ft (223 m) in length, later enlarged to 777 feet (237 m), and at that size it was not surpassed by another hydrogen-filled rigid airship until the LZ 129 Hindenburg was launched seven years later.

101 represents the gates of enlightenment, with the two 1's being pillars, and the 0 being the door.
777 is a bit more involved
>Occult and Numerological Meanings
In Kabbalah and Gematria, the number 777 appears in Hebrew calculations: "Orthodox Messiah" and "YHWH in the YESHUA Messiah" both sum to 777, linking it to messianic prophecy and divine revelation.
>Some esoteric systems associate 777 with the phrase "One is the Spirit of the Living God" (AChTh RVCh ALHIM ChIIM) in Hebrew, while others connect it to OLAHM H-QLPVTh, meaning "the world of the Shells" or the demon world, indicating a duality in its interpretation.
>In Theosophy and Himalayan traditions, 777 signifies that virgin spirits undergo 777 incarnations across seven cosmic revolutions, symbolizing the path of initiation and spiritual evolution.
>The number is also tied to the flaming sword on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, where specific paths (aleph to tav) with gematria totaling 777 represent a phantom path not directly mapped but spiritually significant.

They might come back if nuclear fusion finally becomes a thing, but I doubt that'll happen soon since the older generations seem hell-bent on dragging us to the apocalypse.

Hydrogen is flammable and helium is expensive and nonrenewable. I did read about a airship design that uses compressors to change the bouancy of the airship without bleeding helium into the atmosphere.
>>
>>533454682
Helium is more useful for other things, than to transport 12 wealthy people around.

OP are you some sort of psychic glowie reading my mind while I’m reading this book?
>>
>>533454682
Well what do they do exactly? I mean planes are faster and carry more. Helicopters are the pickup trucks of the skies. Satellites are just better at long range observation. Airships aren't exactly safe considering how turbulent the skies can turn. I guess they could be used for more fun applications and the novelty?

The gas giants contain infinite helium. If the civil rights movement never happened we would be scooping up helium from Jupiter and hydrocarbons from the seas of Titan.

helium is not as abundant was it was 100 years ago, better to just use turbines to generate lift instead
aviation has evolved past this much like how we evolved past our nature peers
