This is rapidly raising the cost of imports as it takes more and more rupees to convert into US dollars to purchase imported goods. 2: Shortage of Urea which is used in making Urea + Ammonia Nitrate (UAN) fertilizers and Sulfur which is used in making Sulfuric Acid which is an essential ingredient in making Phosphate fertilizers like MAP and DAP. The cost of Urea has tripled in the last week in India and nobody can afford it anymore. India has begun rationing its Sulfur and has banned all exports of their Sulfur supply.3: Mass negligence and mismanagement has destroyed much of India's farmland soil making them completely reliant on fertilizers, this was due to farmers growing monocrops utilizing Nitrogen based fertilizers like Urea and UAN over other fertilizers due to cost. This overuse disrupted the balance of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium in the soil so extremely that they cannot grow things in many parts of India at all without heavy usage of fertilizers. In some parts of India the N:P:K ratio is 100:5:1 or worse!All three of these combined have created a perfect scenario for a Mass Starvation event in India by next harvest. Planting season for Rice and Wheat the main staples of Northern Africa and India begins within the next month once they are planted that's it.
