If this actually affects anyone, blame should be put on democrats. The reality of tariffs is that in theory they could benefit us greatly. Democrats will talk about this big number as though americans paid that money. But I think the truth of the matter is that they assess tariffs on the total of goods; which are mostly sitting on shelves.The only reason this is in the courts is because democrats reflexively opposed Trump's policies that we voted for him to do. For most Americans, they buy through Walmart, Home Depot, etc. In that case the store is the importer. The issue is, although the stores paid the tariff and will therefore get the rebate, that increase was passed along to the customers in the form of higher prices.
