The site is significantly much less influential and important now, but things that start here or fester here (whether that be memes, lingo, or normalization of behaviors like racism etc even if it started as a joke) spread and take root elsewhere, which eventually reaches the masses and becomes the norm.As much as I loved mootykins, he absolutely did the right thing by abandoning this site.
