Thinking about it, it dawned on me. All religions in Europe were imported elsewhere. Christianty of course originated from the Middle East, but even Paganism originated from Mesopotamia and/or Egypt which spread East (to become Hinduism) and West (to become Paganism). The closest thing to a true European religion is Platonism, but that's more of a philosophy than a religion. Why were Europeans unable to create their own religion?
