>be treasure hunter
>find what you think is the location of millions of dollars of civil war gold
>tell the FBI about it for some reason
>judge grants the FBI a search and seizure warrant that would allow them to dig between 6 AM and 10 PM
>FBI keeps the people who found the location out of the dig site
>some hunters who happened to be near the site say they saw the FBI digging at around 5 AM even though the FBI says they didn't show up until 8 AM that day
>they also saw armored trucks, one of which looked weighed down like they were carrying something
>FBI denies they found anything even though their own geophysical consultant identified an underground metallic mass weighing up to 9 tons that had the density of gold

What would you do if you found a bunch of gold or treasure like him and wanted to sell it without getting caught by the government?

If you wanted to get away with it you'd have to pay Israeli gangsters a good cut and move it through the NY diamond district.

Otherwise you'd have jealous redneck retards asking why you have some gold and they don't and either get back stabbed or snitched on

Take 1 gold bar out at a time
Maybe get a crucible and melt it and chuck in some random quartz/agate etc and sell it rock by rock
Maybe even double down and stake a claim and harvest the rocks in the area and melt it into the gold goop
If i was sitting on millions of civ war gold i would do everything in my power to hide where i found it even if its on my property
>>
if you find treasure youre not supposed to tell anyone about it until you have it.

So, the guy found a stash of rich peoples gold and the rich people hired a private army to get their shit before rednecks could spend it on meth and they spread a rumor that it was the government because they wanted exactly this reaction.

And look up the laws on that specific treasure. Spain has a ridiculous international legal claim on almost anything related to their empire even if it was lost in a shipwreck or possibly even sold by them at some point in the distant past.
>>
>>533614781
Dig it up, sell some then tell. Just say you found a little bit at first then a trove. I ain't laundering all that!
>>
>>533615821
You can't talk Boomers out of being bootlickers anon. If anything I bet they thought it was very patriotic to snitch on themselves and get detained. Boomers are the ones who will call the cops on themselves if they down a home intruder.

you niggers are stupid, and the dude who told the fbi is retarded. take all the gold out of the ground; take it home... burry it, hide it; never ever tell anyone; not even your wife, children, etc. ever... people are retarded and greedy....

sell an ounce or two at a time, 5k-20k, live off of that... forever.

fucking nigger stupid you people.

You can sell like 9k at a time without triggering ANY kind of reporting.
So basically you just sell a couple ounces at a time and get some kind of lifetime income out of it, pay your taxes as a "self employed handyman" or some shit like that, and boom you can buy houses and boats and whatever
>>533616026
Either launder it or just never spend it and save it for a rainy day. You can sell it in 9k chunks and all the "laundering" you have to do is register yourself as an LLC that does handyman work, after that you pay your taxes on that portion and you're good to go.
If 9k whenever you want it fully clean isn't enough you've already spent too much.
>>533617558
Has to be under 10k at a time or it gets mandatory reported. Ideally you sell a couple ounces to one coin store, then go drive 10 miles and sell some more, just continue until you've sold what you need to and hide the rest until you need money again. It really is extremely simple in the USA. I'm self employed, I do landscaping or something.
>>
>>533614781
Hide it, melt it down and turn it into jewelry. Open jewelry store to sell. Your laundering is basically one step and pretty simple. Don't go overboard on buying fancy cars, etc.

Melting it down is especially important if you live in one of those countries where ancient coins have to go to a museum. You'll never get the value of the coins so no one else will, either.
>>
>>533617558
>sell an ounce or two at a time, 5k-20k, live off of that... forever.

It would be hard to do, you would have to melt it down and cast your own bars, go to a new shop every time, it would have to be under the reportable amount for cash transactions. Even then you might get found out, pawn shop owners talk to each other, over time people might start talking about the guy going around selling home made bars. These days everyone has a youtube channel where they videotape the people who come into their shop.
>>
>>533618261
It's actually extremely simple and you wouldn't have to do any of this, you just go and sell under 10k at a time which is literally just 2 ounces of gold, pretty much a daily thing at any coin shop now.
You go on a little car ride and hit 5 or 6 shops, stop, do it again when you need more money. This is infinitely harder to catch than someone melting and selling their own bars, which is some drug dealer / laundry shit and is obvious.

In the USA you literally can just sell 9,000 dollars worth of the stuff at the time and it's not even unusual because boomers do this all the time with grandma's jewelry.
>>
If you just find unclaimed gold in the ground is it seriously like, illegal to just take it? That seems retarded
>>
>>533614781
>What would you do if you found a bunch of gold or treasure like him and wanted to sell it without getting caught by the government?
depends if it was part of my nations heritage I would hand it to my nations goverment they pay a bounty which might be a fraction of worth but if I found a bronze age sword of gold chailce made by Irish monks it would be part of my peoples national heritage, not mine to take.

If I found some gold 19th centiry coins or something with a e.g british kings head on them from the last 300 years I'd just keep them and sell them off bit by bit at pawn brokers or coin dealers
>>
>>533618397
You americans really have room temp IQ don't you? Your worry is the other slaves finding out that you struck gold, they would turn you in to their masters out of jealousy. The pawn shop owners would find out, the people that watch their youtube channels would find out, the government would come knocking on your door soon enough and if you refused to hand it over they would just throw you in jail. That is why you need to melt down the gold so it can't be identified where it came from.
>>
>>533619001
um, hello based department?
>>
Maybe take it overseas to where they do wildcat gold mining and sell it to a broker.

>BRO they would all find out they'd like super find out
>By uhhh, finding out or something
Yeah sure buddy, much safer to melt it down than to sell it the same way every single other collector sells it.
You do know that americans have been buying and selling coins literally the exact way I've described for forever? How else do you think people sell coin collections, or collect coins in the first place?

Sell cash for gold p2p online / local flea markets
