Worse than Carter. Same problems with Iran too. In Carter's case he tried to rescue the hostages, but the helicopters got all fucked up in dust clouds. Reagan promised a war if the hostages weren't released, but now looking back, Iran probably would have been able to fight back. That 120 Fahrenheit heat in their deserts would have made it very difficult.

His presidencies have amounted to nothing more than failing to deliver on just about every promise and goal he set out to do other than getting 3 Supreme Court Justices in that routinely vote against him. There was no Great Big Wall, there was practically no meaningful deportations, the economy is in shambles partly because all of the money printing during Covid that he supported and now a stupid war in the middle east that nobody wanted. He wasn't the peace president, and he wasn't the bringer of the golden age like he promised. Everyone he brought into his administration is either woefully incompetent, corrupt or both. It's crazy how much momentum he had going into his 2nd term and only 16 months later he's polling lower than Carter, and probably soon Bush. Just an absolute failure.
