Rent is theft.

>>533644743>>533644774You guys just gonna sit there while the federal reserve scam is obviously behind all the bullshitting fatasses in your lying media and government or what?
>>533644743redditors are so fucking naive
>>533644974Yes, it’s the fact. You borrowed money meant for buying a house, and as more people do the same, there are fewer houses available on the market. This drives up the prices of houses and apartments for families and first-time buyers, making it harder for people to buy or rent homes at a reasonable price. As a result, you might need roommates to afford the rent, and the irony is that many houses remain empty. What needs to happen is changing the tax and mortgage rules.Only the state or state-approved organizations should be allowed to do this at large scale, which would build housing for the population for rent and sale, and the private market should be limited, especially during a housing crisis. There needs to indepent organistation, both private and goverment in charge of this, because the US government is too corrupt
>>533644743>Rent is theft. You could leave the house if you don't want to pay rent.
Rent is the only way I'm not homeless.
>>533644743Why don't you go against banks then? You know that they are the actual owner of the building? You didn't know?
>>533645954You’re left with no choice but to share a place with roommates or sleep in your car or a trailer park. This has become a growing problem in the Netherlands, where people can’t afford to buy or rent homes, either they can’t get a bank loan, or the rent is simply too high, while refugees are provided with housing. I don’t understand why this board defends some wealthy individual who bought their fifth house just to rent it out, and people like you keep backing this kind of crony capitalism.
>>533646358No, you can also move to a low cost area but you don't want to and neither does anyone elseThere is limited supply of housing so the price goes up, that's how it works dummy>share a place with roommatesThe horror
>without true assets my income and credit score>I bought moreones my home, the other is somebody else's>charge more than the mortgagebecause I'm maintaining it (why wouldn't I?)>live off of someone elsethey can buy a house too, after they save up their money like I did>owning property is a joband a much more meaningful and impactful one than being a 30 year old burger flipper
>>533644743The value of the house is the security on the loan. Sorry you're poor and dumb. Maybe you can get back at your landlord by destroying your bathroom pipes.
>>533644743>OP is retardFIFY
>>533646536The jobs are in the cities not in low-cost area's
>>533644743That roof and furnace will just replace themselves right
>>533648101cities are no longer low-cost because people have less value. NYC is essentially 10M people selling shirts to each other.
>>533645954rent is choice, you could choose to be homeless and die of exposure.
>>533648364>hires a wetback
>>533644743NOOOOOO YOU MUST PAY FOR MY LIFESTYLE SO I DON'T NEED TO WORK NOOOOO - every landlord ever
>>533644774There could be a system in which if you buy an apartment unit in full, you essentially become a business partner, own a share of the company that previously owned the unit and will agree to sharing some of the profits with the business when you rent it to someone else. That would increase rent on its own though.
>>533644774>free to live in the woodsNo, no you can't legally live in the woods unless you own the woods you're living in.
Rent is artificially inflated as a result of NIMBYism and corporate housing monopolies. We need the following in order to fix it:1. STATE HOUSING Build 10-20 million apartments and rent them at cost2. ZONING DEREGULATIONOverrule boomer regulations stopping people from building what they want on the land they ownHouses are for living, not investment
