Cheaper to manufacture abroad, obviously. We used to manufacture out in Taiwan but then covid happened and 65% of our staff went and bloody died so now we moved out to Bangladesh. They'll work for even less than in Taiwan haha. The quality isn't always as good of course but labour costs being as good as they are it's blue sky thinking from here on in, baby!I was thinking about semi-retiring to somewhere like China and doing ad-hoc work occasionally as a consultant for start ups in the AI sector.
