is the tradie shit a meme? everyone seems to be shilling going into carpentry, hvac, electrical, heavy equipment or concrete etc. these days

this shit better not be the reskinned version of the 'learn to code' psyop a few years back.

30+$/hr unions dumbass
>>

You will almost always be able to find a job if you have a 3 digit IQ and experience in a trade. But anyone telling you you'll make 200k out the gate is selling you something. Expect no respect for doing a dirty job and prepare for union faggots to get paid double what you do for doing half the work.
>>
I was a tradie and it was good for me. Got paid well enough not to be concerned about daily life or surprise bills.
I can always fall back on it, too, because learning a trade is learning an art.
Funny thing is, if I stayed in the trades I would probably be making more than I do currently as a STEM grad, but I have far less concerns about destroying my body now. That is the one trade off, your body does get worn down more quickly in the trades, so work your way up the ladder as soon as possible.
>>
Its a scam. AI slopmonkeys make bank in switzerland and murica every other country only gov officials and scam physicians are paid
>>
>>533743950
its fun and rewarding but the hours are dogshit and youre body will pay the price if you stick around for 5 years. also everyone in the trades is either retarded or intelligent but schizophrenic. normies are an exception, which makes the work interesting.

Tradies are known for draining each other's balls
>>
>>533743950
These are all jobs where you shouldn’t have to go to school or apprentice for. It’s common sense shit and backbreaking work.
>>
>>533743950
It’s supply and demand anomaly. People saw trades as low class jobs for almost two decades and now there is not enough of them so the same faggots that told you to learn to code are now telling you to go to trades. Expect in a decade that they become low wage jobs again as zoomers and alphoids flood them.

(You) are ~20yo, and serious about going into a life long trade:
If you're tough and want to get max $/hour, go oil or mining. If you want long haul with good pay & lot of work, go electrician.
If you have an 'in' to the mafia, go elevator mech.
>>
>>533743950
of course it's a meme, trades suck donkey dick. There are exceptions and it can be good if you are able to run your own business and manage a crew but for the average 90 IQ incel on here who fucked up community college it's just going to suck and if you choose a shit trade that is physically taxing you'll just be 40+ with a bad back and health issues. The worst things about trades is the people you have to work with and it's also flooded with Indians.
>>
>>533743950
They're shilling it because they're all buttmad that tradie work isn't mindlessly worshipped like being a doctor or a lawyer. What the fools fail to understand is that they're in a niche and niches cease to be profitable as soon as every dumbfuck and their mother tries to get in on the racket. If you've got a good thing going, TELL NO ONE, and garrote anyone who even hints at hiring jeets.
>>
>>533743950
Trades suck, it's fucking hot... or cold all the time. You're either carrying something heavy or doing some repetitive motion for 8 hours. It's hard work. There's a reason they pay well. It's because they suck, most of them, to various degrees.

But, if you're semi intelligent you'll do what most every semi intelligent tradie does eventually, and open a business. Then, you can hire other tradies to do the actual work for you.
>>
>>533745361
You're retarded
>>
>>533743950
10 years ago you could come out of college with a net positive through all the grants, even if you were in a dorm buying your own basic needs
this wasnt ever advertised for some reason, not sure how it is today
>>
>>533743950
depending on where you are you'll get paid to become a tradie, but its really not fun or enjoyable work. It pays decently with a chance at being able to make alot more money down the line and you can find work anywhere there is shit being built. just don't take a shitty or overtly difficult trade
>>
Yes
All tradesmen lie about how much they make online btw
>>
>>533743950
Get into it young if you’re going to. It pays normal at first just about anything you do. It’s still usually a 4 year commitment until you can make good money and unions have dues and rules about where you can work and what you can do that make it hard to rely on if you don’t have any support when you start.
>>
>>533744449
Yeah, I went up the ladder and became a project manager. Its pretty comfy. I still get my hands dirty from time to time and get out and about alot which keeps things varied. The only downside is having to supervise half whit welders.
>>
>>533743950
do you like having a fucked up body at age 45?
do you like working with ex-cons, spics and low IQ miga shits?
do you like having a boomer boss pay you as little as possible while he has 3 houses?
>>
>>533743950
>is the tradie shit a meme?
yes
>>
>>533743950
Machines won't be taking these jobs in the time it takes you to learn the trade and aquire a retirement plan. Probably never. HVAC and Electricians never starve at least
>>
>>533750279
>project manager
That's exactly what I meant. Get out of the trenches and into the executive ASAP.

>The only downside is having to supervise half whit welders.
Half-wit half-white welders?
Let me know when you have HAs snorting rails off the girders 40' in the air and then watching them walk the steel. Kek.
That is another trade off; drunks, drugs and dangerous devices don't mix well. I've broken up fistfights and seen many stupid people. But they eventually either burn out or get canned. One learns a lot of lessons about human nature in those environments, though, because it is more raw. No corporate bullshit with virtue-signalling nonsense, hidden behind veneers of moral rectitude. The essence of humanity is found most plainly on the jobsite or workshop floor.
>>
>>533743950
everything is a meme
work in an office and be miserable
or work with your hands and be miserable
working is miserable, boomers had it so easy, their boss wasn't able to constantly track their every movement so they had insane amounts of downtime. now you're expected to be a robot. but nothing is as miserable as working retail
>>
>>533745706
This
>>
>>533750813
Yep, Ive met a lot of interesting characters over the years, and I still love being on the shop floor and getting shit done..
>>
There is work and then... There isn't. You don't know anything either, so you are a literal retard. Can you stomach being a retard for several years?
