A Second iran-iraq war could happen, some liberal opposition leader who defeated isis before is calling for the US to literally overthrow the Iraqi goverment.

>We’ve been speaking to Khaled al-Obaidi, a senior figure within the Azm Alliance, about his controversial call for a dramatic shift in Iraq’s foreign and domestic policy.
>Al-Obaidi said Iraq must take what he described as a “decisive stand” in the ongoing regional conflict, urging Baghdad to align with both the United States and Israel against Iran.
>He argued that neutrality is no longer sustainable, warning that Iraq risks becoming “a battleground for other powers” if it does not reposition itself strategically.
>“There is no space left for ambiguity,” al-Obaidi said, adding that Iraq must “stand with forces capable of restoring balance in the region.”
>Al-Obaidi also called for what he described as a “comprehensive restructuring of the Iraqi government”, appealing directly to Washington to support political change in Baghdad.
>He said the current system is “paralyzed by competing factions,” and proposed that the Azm Alliance be granted full governing authority to stabilize the country.
>Mohammed al-Halbousi, a prominent Sunni leader associated with Taqaddum, voiced support for al-Obaidi’s position, according to aides familiar with internal discussions.
>The initiative marks one of the most far-reaching challenges yet to Iraq’s post-2003 political order, which has been built on delicate sectarian and coalition balances.
>“The system in its current form cannot survive this moment,” he said. “It must be restructured if Iraq is to remain sovereign.”
