The Bank of England expects stock markets around the world to fall as share prices do not reflect the many risks facing the global economy, its deputy governor has told the BBC.

>Sarah Breeden said: "There's a lot of risk out there and yet asset prices are at all-time highs. We expect there will be an adjustment at some point."

It is unusual for a senior figure at the Bank to be so forthright on market movements.

The quality of housing in this country is so depressing. Looking on rightmove is a humiliation ritual.

In my area a small semi-detached 3-bed (one tiny box room) ex council house costs something like £260k, and that's often with a tiny garden in a street with cars parked along the curbs etc.

Then you look at a nice big 3+ bedroom house in rural Norway or Sweden, or somewhere like non-urban Portugal, Italy, Spain, and you have a few acres, often forestry on your doorstep, sometimes a lake, the sea, or mountains nearby, and it costs about £80k at most (some going for £25k if you're willing to renovate).

It's blackpilling. The equivalent of my shitty hometown is a small town in one of these countries, yet here you don't get the option of commuting an hour to live rural in comfort, you just have to find a little hole in the wall for yourself in the concrete jungle, and even then you have to get stuck in traffic if you want to visit some comfy rural location and find some public land there where the crowds go of a summer's day. It feels very, very off to me.

Imagine waking up in an old house surrounded by grass and then trees, hearing the birds singing, and only silence outside of that, doing some wfh job on your laptop while your missus leads your youngest around the garden looking for bugs, then spending the evening either eating outside as a family on a nice big table with a tablecloth on it, or driving ~45 minutes to town to eat at a restaurant, or see a movie, or see a show of some kind.

I genuinely feel so depressed at the prospect of grinding away for a pittance in order to store my body in a small cube among countless other cubes in the hours outside of work.

There it is. There is a reason why rural homes are cheaper, and it because of lack of work in the area. You have to travel miles out of where you live.

The only argument in favour of the EU is that our current political elite are so disgustingly incompetent that outsourcing our governance to a dog kennel in Zimbabwe or something would lead to an instant improvement.
But the EU is rotten to the core as well, run by even more openly genocidal kikes.

Then our country will be poor. Many of us would die from preventable conditions because the NHS wouldn't be funded. We might be invaded by another country because we wouldn't be able to fund our armed forces.
>get rid of millions
Why?
>get Elon Musk to build us an entire army of slave robots, and we can focus on reproducing
Elon Musk is a capitalist. He cares about money and domination. If he does make such robots, he'll sell them for a high price, which we wouldn't be able to afford, due to our low GDP. Also we'd struggle to reproduce with a low GDP. Many children would die from preventable illnesses.

>>533765412
I think one argument in favour of rejoining is that it should boost our economy, but I guess another argument is that it would probably make us more resilient in today's world of geopolitical contests. E.g. if the UK alone had a disagreement with the US, the US could say "we will put a tariff on all UK goods/services unless the UK does what America wants". The UK could propose a retaliatory tariff, but the US wouldn't care, because for them, the UK is a small market. Compare that to the same situation, but with the EU vs the US, instead of just the UK vs the US. If the EU proposes a retaliatory tariff, the US would be more threatened, because the EU is a very big market for America.

TLDR: the UK alone is more vulnerable to coercion than the EU together.

I'm not even someone who shills the (positive) economic impact of the EU. For me I see it as freedom (for myself personally) to fuck off and move elsewhere.
But more importantly for the nation to eventually turn to a European pivot, as right now, being a limbless vassal to the Americans is not an ideal existence.
I know the EU are cucks in suits at the minute, but that won't be forever, eventually the Elites will be churned out and hopefully replaced with something better.

I hope we rejoin for that alone

Rejoining will just speed up the collapse faster, if you rejoin, then it becomes legal for me to find a cheaper economic zone to live out the rest of my life in peace without the absolute state of the state on my neck, of course, this implies the EU wouldn't just use rejoining as an opportunity to punish the UK by replacing our currency with their euro and making it so we're eligible to be deported back to the UK whenever Starmer or whoever rules us next takes over and also with it, probably an enormous unavoidable exit tax to prevent "wealth" from leaving the UK, basically, I am expecting rejoining the EU to scrape whatever we thought was left in our pockets out and give it to the nigger master race.

>The only argument in favour of the EU is that our current political elite are so disgustingly incompetent that outsourcing our governance to a dog kennel in Zimbabwe or something would lead to an instant improvement.
That's not true though, if you cast your mind back to before Brexit, Bussels and the EU were repeatedly used as an excuse why some domestic law cannot be enacted, which in turn fed into growing Brexit sentiment. Now without that nifty get out of jail free card (except when it comes to Norn and the mess there) accountability has returned and we're finally able to have actual national political discussions again and that's why they're scrambling because they're just no built for actual competition. It's easy to forget but pre 2016 politics was incredibly sterile.
Plus not being in the EU insulates us from various foreign retarded discissions like Spanish amnesty, Italian immigration increases, German asylum madness, and Turkish ascension.

My point was, the EU has punished us at every opportunity before leaving and after leaving, I don't suspect they have anything nice in store for the UK in the event that we rejoin, and further it would make the argument in leaving the UK behind in a ditch much more compelling, why live here if the EU is using us as a refuse pile for their refugees when you can just move abroad, wait for the niggers to go on dinghies and fuck off to the UK and even have the opportunity to vote in the EU countries to send the niggers abroad, I hear they even listen to their voters in the EU sometimes, but even that is not a sure thing. I would rather we never rejoin the EU and try to make the best of this country as can, repairing it after the europhiles are out of parliament which is going to take time.

I'm genuinely sick of the keep calm and carry on attitude here. It's fine during war time or whatever, but this country could be so much more beautiful, elegant, refined, harmonious.

I visit some random town and I have ZERO expectation that I will see anything except a high street full of charity shops, betting shops and kurdish-run shops, maybe an orange brick business park, maybe a square of grass called a park, some random museum, and then just concrete and tarmac and rows of run-down houses with some newer houses planted on the outskirts. There is nothing beautiful there. No ornamentation, no eccentrically designed lamposts or tree-lined streets. It genuinely feels like Escape From New York except in the most pathetically mundane and unnervingly British way. This is reflecting often in the local population, much of whom amble around, most of whom appear to be at least seventy years of age.

In winter you should be able to stroll through covered arcades along stone floors, walk with your brolly past gothic buildings, have a cozy cup of tea in a nicely decorated independent cafe. Instead you're trudging along a street made of bricks past boarded-up shops with dingey flats above them, crouching into your shit second-hand car and feeling old and worn out as the rain smashes down and you pull into a supermarket to binge on custard slices and a £2 small bottle of coca cola.

In summer you should be able to walk along a well-kept canal, or wander through some nicely maintained gardens, or cycle into the countryside and stop in some nice little rural town with people walking around, cafe tables outside, plenty of umbrellas for shade, maybe, just maybe, a fucking communal drinking fountain like everywhere else in Europe. Instead you end up in some town which has modernised thanks to a grant that mostly went missing and stare morosely at a big metal object placed along the pedestrianised consumer street which represents hope or whatever.

All I need is a wfh full-time job with no strings. I promise I'll just disappear and won't bother anyone. You don't even need to pay me much. I don't even need a wife or anything thrown in. I'll just take that. No luxuries, nothing. Just get me away from this absolutely run-down, ugly piece of shit country.

Blaming all police officers for the actions of a few. How is that any different from blaming entire groups whether defined by race, sexuality, or political affiliation for the behavior of a small number of individuals?

The reality is that corruption is a human issue, not something confined to any single group. People either align themselves with what they see as the least flawed system, or they reject human systems altogether and turn to faith.

A collectivist mindset tends to oversimplify complex realities. Claiming that “all members of group X are Y” ignores the fact that no one has complete knowledge of every individual within that group. Whether the statement targets police officers or any other category of people, the logic is fundamentally the same.

That’s why slogans like “ACAB” come across as overly broad and lacking nuance reducing individuals to a stereotype and encouraging division rather than understanding

I just want to wear a grey suit and cycle on a single-gear bicycle into a medium-sized town and have a small cold shandy for a decent price outside a well-maintained pub with my pleasant middle-class girlfriend and spend the night in clean, spacious room furnished with solid wooden furniture and spend the following morning swimming in the local leisure centre and having a modest bite to eat before cycling onwards to another town.

Is that really so much to ask? Apparently in Broken Britain it really is.

Shame on you.

I do believe the "Keep calm and carry on" thing is waning, you can't keep calm when you are being ethnically replaced.

From what old people tell me, the country was more beautiful when the councils actually spent money on that kind of stuff, but we all know they're using the money to either line their pockets or give to BAMEs. The council used to be voluntary so for the most part you only had people who genuinely wanted to improve their community getting involved.

Westminster City Council has apologised to Millwall FC after a racism awareness pamphlet for schoolchildren featured an image linking the club to the US white supremacist group, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK).

>The illustration showed a cartoon figure dressed like a KKK member wearing Millwall's club badge. The council admitted the image was "insensitive".

The pamphlet was created by a Westminster City Council employee[.]

>In a statement shared on X by Millwall Supporters' Club, the club said it had received a full apology from the council.

It said the badge had been misused on "an illustration of a white supremacist hate group member in a children's education booklet", creating a misleading association with the club.

No. Its blaming the police as an organisation for failing to hold its officers to account, championing acceptable conduct as a norm and exercising common decency within their remit. The police are an enemy of the English by their actions, as a collective they are the greatest threat to myself, both physically and otherwise; traitors above all who have permitted the enemies of this nation to flourish under their care.

You can call someone far-right nazi but if you discriminate against anyone for any reason it's an arrestable offence and you should report it to the internet police so they can arrest them for cyberbullying. Madness. When a real war happens, there won't be any keep calm, everyone has seen that war is an excuse to go to another country and pillage it until it has nothing left but raped girls whilst you live in a hotel being a nuisance to anyone. That's how they want it, that's how they're going to get it. I would hope that as refugees though, we'd be a cut above and actually improve the countries that are fled to because we'd probably be allowed to kill criminals legally in those countries unlike here where they are deified, St Fentanyl himself was a good enough cause to disrupt the whole covid lockdown.

Fact is, if the job is to wash dishes or clean toilets, it pays minimum wage and at that point, why bother because being on bennies is equivalent pay and less hassle (if you can stomach applying to jobs and the occasional interview training course); the reason I say why bother, is because they're going to hire the subsidised foreign migrant from Nigeria living in a HMO, it doesn't matter that he's committed several genocides and is plotting to rape or steal from whoever is stupid enough to let him inside to clean the bog, you're just not worth bothering to apply to the job because bennies is worth more. So of course, the lowest common denominator gets the job or the company hires the cleaning chad who can clean an entire mansion in a day let alone handle one toilet.

>A sheriff has dismissed a hate crime case involving four convicted killers in a Scottish women’s prison, saying that referring to a trans person by their “original biological state” was not transphobic.

>'Alexandria Stewart', real name Adam Baker, is serving a life sentence with a minimum term of 19 years for murder, claimed that fellow inmate Jayney Sutherley carried out a four-year campaign of transphobic verbal abuse that left him feeling suicidal.

>His partner, a fellow prisoner, Nyomi Fee, told Greenock sheriff court on Monday that Sutherley would refer to him as being in a relationship with a man and would say that it “wasn’t fair” there was a man in the women’s hall.

>Fee maintained that Sutherley would use terms such as “tranny”, “it” and “he/she” to refer to Baker, who murdered John Weir in 2013 by stabbing him at least 16 times after meeting on a gay dating website.

>Fee, 37, was sentenced in 2016 to a minimum of 24 years for the murder and ill-treatment of her two-year-old stepson, Liam Fee. She has been in a romantic relationship with Stewart, 36, in HMP Greenock since 2019.

>Sutherley, who is serving a sentence for culpable homicide and had been in Greenock since 2018, was eventually moved from the prison in 2023 due to the allegations against her.

>Fee was asked how the comments affected Baker. She said: “It would upset him. He was just trying to be who he is and he doesn’t need to hear constant degrading terms. It’s hard enough as it is.”

>It was alleged that between January 1, 2019, and March 23, 2023, in Darroch Hall at Greenock, Sutherley behaved in a threatening and abusive manner and used transphobic and homophobic words.

>Baker told the court in January that he had undergone a tracheal shave in 2019 to reduce the prominence of his Adam’s apple but had otherwise had no surgery as part of his transgender status.

Lol. Fake name/pronouns replaced, by the way.

I mean, there were multiple reasonable offers from the EU, but they were rejected in favour of the hardest possible Brexit for better or worse.
Whilst we had multiple permanent opt outs and special deals with the EU we still constantly looked to abandon ship to the Americans
If you were with a lass who kept glazing over a bloke across the road, and looked like she was ready to shag him at any minute, you'd dump them to the curve the second they said they wanted to open the relationship up.
The EU simply did that to us.
Personally I think the EU will prefer charity to malice if we basically repent and rejoin.

To add on to the last post, I just like the idea of Starmer going around with a suicide vest on basically daring his cabinet to turn against him.

He’ll usher in another Labour govt, join the Tories (if he keeps his seat) and go off into retirement with millions in membership fees from gullible losers

I wonder if Restore will lose in Great Yarmouth in the local elections simply because they are called

The only people who are seething about Rupert Lowe will be the people who put their faith in him in 2029 when he winds down Restore and joins the Tories, having failed to win more than a single seat.

The thing is I'm not sure how many other lads in this thread share our opinion, for me I really have to emphasise, I feel like I've seen this based song and dance before and watched it die many times before.
I want to finally take a seat beside the fallout, grab my popcorn and enjoy the crash out.

I agree. It’ll go the same way as UKIP, Homeland etc. Forgotten about after the next electoral cycle when it’s served its purpose (stopping Farage and saving the Conservatives Party again). It’s little wonder that the party is conducted almost entirely online when in face to face interviews the man can barely go ten minutes without heaping praise on Kemi Badenoch or other senior Tories. Sort of gives the game away a little.

But you don't understand Anon, that in this very moment of the political present THEY ARE the last chance for Britain!!!!
Don't you know THIS is the MOST IMPORTANT election of our lifetimes?!
And other spiel we've heard a million times before, only to be betrayed when the power is given to these conniving, outright evil people.

I want these parties destroyed entirely, their roots scattered to the wind, I don't care what has to be wrought to end the Tories and their milk fed gimp squads, or their American MAGA sycophants, but they as a force and party need to be gone.
So long as Restore glazes Kemi ****UNCONTROLLABLY**** they are an enemy nothing less.

I'm not against Federation, or Regionalism, what I'm against is the the Scots acting as 5th columnists.
Celts should be protected from themselves seemingly as they're keen on doing nothing but outpozzing England because their entire national identity is gay and built on being anti-English.
