And everyone recognizes that our understanding of things and how we represent them with math is imperfect. Even comparatively ordinary models may break down at points due to dividing by zero even if they work well in most cases. That doesn't mean people should just throw their hands up and say it's God or whatever though. It seems like people are just mad that scientists account for possibly imaginary things (dark matter for instance) to keep the math working while developing things further. Do you think just quitting is a better solution?
