https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1l281epVanQ&tHouston, Texas — On March 25th, 2026, at approximately 3:57 p.m., a Houston Police Officer arrived in the 5800 block of Glenmont Drive. He was responding to a call about a suspicious male with a pink bag and a gun walking near a school. The officer located a man matching the description. He approached the suspect, Bara'Atef Mohammad AlQudah and gave him multiple commands to drop his bag. AlQudah produced a gun from his bag and fired it, striking the officer. The officer returned fire and AlQudah fled on foot into a nearby apartment complex. The officer pursued AlQudah, giving commands to stop. The officer fired his duty weapon, striking AlQudah. The officer immediately began rendering first aid until Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived. AlQudah was pronounced deceased at the scene. The officer grazed in the right side of his abdomen, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
