Is it possible to gain power and not become corrupt?
>>533830593yes, but I also think non corrupt people don't seek power. they are forced into power when the time comes.
>>533830593Possible, but rarely. In democracies, maximum corruption is more or less guaranteed, and the will of the people never actually gets a say. In autocracies, some degree of corruption is inherent to the system. All I'll say is that there is a reason the tradition throughout the majority of our history was hereditary monarchy.
>>533830593the problem is that you are in competition with people who use corrupt dirty tricks, and if you don't, they will probably win
>>533830847That’s not much better, but honestly probably not that much worse. Pray you have a benevolent monarch
>>533830593the saying goes "absolute power corrupts absolutely" so just avoid all temptations and stay off all paths that lead toward absolute power and you will avoid corruption, or, more philosophically, avoid the mind set that convinces you you have absolute power.in this we can see that a tyrant king and a zogbot cop are both corrupted by real and perceived absolute powers
>>533830907if you don't they off you
>>533830593You need an insane amount of apathy for that. Im a pretty apathetic guy but if I was given money and power id probably use it to further my own agenda instead of just living with power but not using it
>>533830907thats not the problem, that IS the corruption. you cant join a corrupt system (especially a KNOWN corrupt system) and then start playing the little angel with a halo routine, but because your "competition" plays dirty tricks you "have" to play dirty tricks as well. spoiler: you are now corrupt because it corrupts absolutely. no one is immune, unless a system is totally dismantled from the inside out and rebuilt
>>533830593You can't gain power without being corrupt in the first place. Every opposutiin has been controlled for a long time now
>>533830593Power doesn't corrupt. Corrupt people gain power.
>Noooo, it's bad to support each other, they are from another country, they're not CaliforniansWhat a whinny little bitch some people are
>>533830593Singapore?
>>533830593>Is it possible to gain power and not become corrupt? It is, but for that to happen the person to gain power must no have desire it. The problem with democracies is exactly that. The people that get the power are exactly the same people that desire and crave power with all their heart.
>>533831119thats rather old fashioned, "character assassination" is usually enough today>>533831218>unless a system is totally dismantled from the inside out and rebuiltthe american revolution, french revolution and russian revolution all proved that even in this case the corruption will persist
>>533831328>yeah dude just get involved some complicated ethnic conflict in middleurasiaeast because (((feinstein))) said sonah, not my problem nigga
>>533831328Armenians are Christian atracked by muslims sponosrised by Israel. California mutts only care about money. This is right, not their concern.
>>533831119not if they're offed first :-)
>>533830593There was a super based leader in Tanzania. He called bullshit on covid early on. Drew only a small salary. Cleaned up a lot of government corruption. But the CIA probably offed him, he quietly died of a heart attack and wasn't that old>>533831383A dilemma since Plato.Ironically "tyrant" has its origin s guy who got fed up with corruption in Athens and cleaned house.
>>533830593Instead of mocking her life can we just celebrate her death?I for one am ecstatic that she never saw her dream of gun confiscation realized and that her excitedness at banning bump stocks was short lived because they are no longer banned.Rest in piss kike.
>>533830700This is some anime tier cope. This isn't LOTGH, you have to actively pursue power in every single nation with a central bank on earth. You do not just magically gain power
>>533831383It's not just in the world of politics. We've all had bosses that acted the same way. Give them a little power and they act like tiny dictators. I never understood it because I don't desire control of others but apparently there's a lot of them out there.
>>533830593Nothing wrong with putting justified emphasis on islam's horrors and thereby hypocrisy.
>>533830593Yes and no, because you must be responsible for every single aspect of that power, which is impossible.
>>533831559it's usually the powerless that crave power.
>>533831218What if one was to behave like Cincinnatus who resigned from power. Probably he was just a tale to tell plebs the leaders were not always so corrupt
>>533831406>thats rather old fashioned, "character assassination" is usually enough todayNo they just use poison and people became too retarded to care.
>>533831596I've found the powerless just become toadies. They latch onto the powerful in order to feel secondhand power. The snitches and what have you.
>>5338305939001 power holder here! No, sadly its not possible. I got a sweet deal that you're going to want to hear, anon. Its only going to cost you tree fiddy.
>>533830593Seeking power means you're already corrupt.
>>533831218I could probably do it. I'm autistic with a very rigid set of morals. I wouldn't want to, though.
I couldIf you gave me absolute power I would use it for nothing but good. I have never cared about power, I think drugs are disgusting, and I don't give a shit about hoes. By virtue of how my mind works, the very idea of seeing something wrong makes me angry. The extremely rigid moral code given to me by my autism means I would never even be able to do something bad without self-inflicted mental torture. But here's the thing - would I be a good politician? Fuck no, but that's because the job of a politician in a democracy is literally TO be a corrupt puppet. The entire system is set up solely for psychopaths who knows how to play normies like puppets. It's not that power corrupts, it's that corrupt people seek power. They would have been corrupt regardless of what happened. The idea that you can "become" corrupt is ridiculous, no one who has even the slightest fucking drop of moral values would suddenly throw them away. If someone did, they never had those values in the first place and were always nothing more than a parasitic vermin who spoke whatever they needed to get into a position of power.
>>533830975This is a truck to prevent the morally righteous from Perusing power
>>533830593Probably not.Definitely not, when you're gaining power over a system that makes you rape kids before they allow you to have power.
>>533830593Lol fucking democrats. Not like based Trump who always put America and Americans first and never did another countries bidding at the expense of America.
>>533831699yeh, you're right. what are toadies btw? tards?
>>533830975and leave power in the hands of the rotten and the corruptable, which results in the absolute dogshit mess we're in now?
>>533832354https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/toady
>>533832354Sycophants but lesser. Like a stooge.
>>533832607>LackeyThat's the word I was looking for instead of stooge.
>>533832354lickspittle bastard knaves
>>533830593its not power if the law was over your ass
>>533832622>>533832667ah yes, i understand; the crabbe and goyle types.>>533832769now im confused again
>>533830593>implying her twitter account is ran by a 80 year old lady and not by some intern and media team
>>533830593It is improbable, but possible. Human beings are hierarchal beings, and once in power, will be interested in keeping and expanding that power. It's a consequence of our biological imperatives. The only people incorruptible by power are those that believe they are subservient to a deity, or to a goal that transcends them. Ideologues in general are difficult to corrupt. The issue with ideologues is that the goal they are subservient to are so important to them, that every other concern becomes acceptable losses. The perfect storm where someone's ideological goal is decency, or justice, or altruism, and where they gain enough power to actually see those through, is so rare they can be counted on a fan inspector's right hand.
>>533833317That pic! :D
>>533830593Your self-screenshot displays gigantic ignorance about the ethnic makeup of Ms. Kike's district. I'm glad she's dead but pandering to the wookie vote is hardly unexpected or abnormal. Who were you talking to, your other phone?
