I have 5 of 32 7th grade students in my first period do not stand or recite the pledge, meanwhile, some of my 8th graders asked me last week if they were legally obligated to do the pledge because their homeroom teacher yelled at a few of their friends over not participating. I personally don’t care, I got caught once not doing it by the principal and he gave me a heads up that I have to at least stand since it’s in our contracts with the district.
