Why are some people seemingly so upset about this damn ballroom?It's true they need a place for that. They put up giant tents outside sometimes for large receptions. That's obviously far from ideal.I mean I get it you can be upset about the destruction of the existing East Wing. It's not as old as the rest of the white house but still pretty historical you can say. It wasn't NECESSARY to have a ballroom AT the white house, they could have built this thing elsewhere I suppose.But still renovation/expansion of government buildings is an odd thing to get so angry at I feel like. It happens all the time. The whole white house was has been renovated so extensively in the past it's debatable whether you can say it's still the same building.
