you need make sure you re-weight these at the produce section. there's places that are fucking up the weight by a pound or more.

those look like 1 inch rib eyes which should be 12-16 oz each. How the fuck are they getting 5 pounds from that?

Lmfao that's cheap you retard. 5 pounds of PRIME ribeye at $20 a pound??? That's barely more than what you'd pay for wholesale from a vendor. Prime grade ribeye is hovering around $17.99 a pound from most major food distributors to sell to restaurants for fucks sake. Where is this??? I wanna go.

>Not for prime.
USDA Prime and Choice differ mainly in marbling (intramuscular fat), which dictates tenderness, flavor, and price. Prime has abundant marbling for top-tier tenderness and flavor, usually found in high-end steakhouses. Choice is highly consistent, versatile, and leaner, making it a cost-effective, widely available choice for everyday cooking

When You See "Non-Inspected" Meat
If you are buying a whole or half animal directly from a farmer, it is likely being processed at a "custom-exempt" facility. This means you, as the owner of the animal, are allowed to consume it even though a federal inspector was not present at the time of slaughter. You cannot, however, take that meat and sell it by the cut to other people.

Inspected beef is mandatory, USDA-approved, and safe for public sale, featuring a round stamp, while "non-inspected" (or custom-exempt) beef is processed without an inspector present, cannot be sold to the public, and is only for the owner's personal consumption. Inspection ensures safety, while grading (Prime/Choice) evaluates quality.
UT Beef and Forage Center
UT Beef and Forage Center
+4
Key Differences
Legality for Sale: USDA Inspected meat is legally allowed to be sold in grocery stores, restaurants, and across state lines. Non-Inspected/Custom-Exempt meat is labeled "NOT FOR SALE" and can only be consumed by the owner, their family, and non-paying guests.
Presence of Inspector: Inspected facilities have a USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) agent on-site to check animals for safety and sanitation during slaughter. Non-inspected (custom-exempt) plants are not required to have an inspector on-site, though they still operate under sanitary guidelines.
Safety Assurance: Inspected meat carries a guarantee that the product is safe and wholesome. While custom-exempt meat is not inspected, it is usually processed in small, local shops rather than high-volume industrial facilities.
Packaging: Inspected meat will have a round stamp on the packaging with a specific establishment number

$20/lb for USDA Prime Ribeye is a very good price, I would question if that pic was taken any time in the last 5yrs. My local meat locker sells local ungraded Ribeye for $20/lb and local cows (Central IL) are hit or miss as far as marbling and flavor go, but USDA Prime at Walmart is probably $30/lb or higher right now I would imagine.

Beef is expensive here too
It's priced by a globalist cabal of jews has nothing to do with farmers, drought, feed costs etc. That's all misinfo they peddle to normies.

Beef prices are set by auctions and international buyers (cabal of jews) are buying up all the beef to be sent to South Korea and other countries. Typical farmer here will just sell the entire stock to these global trading houses and fuck the rest of us over while demanding gibs from the gov.

I have a friend who's a car salesman. He tells me the same thing about the car business. The Big 3 made so much money during Covid when the lots were empty and the prices were sky high, they now underproduce on purpose. Why sell two F-150s and make $20,000 each, when you can sell one to an idiot with tons of money and make $55,000. That's basically what they're doing.

I bought half a cow once, ripped through all the strips / ribeyes etc right away and then took forever to go through the rest.

Best thing to do is buy on sale and freeze and defrost as needed. Just my experience.

$4-$5.50 is worth jackshit under Trump so we're not as mad.
iran mocks us, says it'll be $10, which is what it is in europe and aus already, and they seem to be doing fine.

if it goes higher we'll just drive less. we'll walk more. we'll lose weight. fewer degen trips to the casino and strip club. tighten up. it's good. we just hated biden for being a weak faggot we like strength even if it costs more.

that is not what happens. it's just super incredibly tender meat. heck you can cook it to well done and it is still tender and juicy.

however... it has less flavor than American beef.
I cooked one as a steak, and then the second one I made burritos out of. best damn burrito I ever had.

its the national debt thats the crazy one people ignore. trumps responsible for 10 trillion of the 40 trillion, alone. he on track to add another 6 trillion. thats 100,000 dollars in debt for every tax paying american, of which, 40% of your taxes go to. not to lower it, just to pay it off. if the average american tax payer pays 15,000$ a year, that means they will be paying 2000$ in taxes every year, directly attributable to trump himself. every year, for likely, the rest of their lives (minimum, the debt is unlikely to ever go down).

shits crazy yo. a straight up 2000$ tax by trump on every tax paying american, and like, no one noticed, thats how much the average american pays for gas per year. and they get literally nothing out of this tax. it doesnt even go to nebulous shit like, the military, for defense. it just goes straight to the majority holder of the national debt, us investors. rich people. hes just funneling money directly to them.

This is coming from someone who is a strong advocate of the carnivore diet: you should NOT be eating steaks this big. It's very unnatural to gorge yourself on that much protein/fat in a single meal and bad things (like a stroke/blood clot) can happen. It's very optimal to eat about one third pound of steak for breakfast/lunch/dinner because you're giving your body time to actually process it for muscle building and mimics the meat scarcity faced by early hunter gatherer humans.

This this whole tray is actually food for a week of steak, realistically brining it down to $20/day. Which is still somewhat high but even mcdonalds burger flippers make $100/day.
>>
>>533941468

I miss my old state and store. They used to run deals too, so the big steaks would be even cheaper. Of course you had to get there fast, everybody would buy them up right away and the butchers would be refilling them throughout the day.
