The first one. It was a successor to the Sim City franchise and catered to that fanbase. The Sims 2 and onward was for girls and then later, LGBT.

The Sims 1 had a very 1999 vibe as well and was very Seinfeld or Friends. Meanwhile, The Sims 2 was more like Nickelodeon’s Drake and Josh and iCarly.

Fuck off.
I am not having anyone over, so the faster I can get the groceries to the kitchen; the better.
Also, good idea to remove your shoes at the door, so the linoleum or wood floor in the kitchen is ideal. Plenty of houses have a side entrance from the parking area straight to the kitchen. This is just a poor version that consolidates the concept.

The actual concern is the one that has the kitchen go straight to the bathroom.
Not sanitary or wise.

>>
>>533949370
Not having a wall between your bedroom and the rest of the living area is shit design and very noisy. I hated living in a studio. Even modern fridges make a ton of noise. When that thing kicks on it is very likely to wake you up at 4am. The smallest space any of us should live in is a 1 bedroom apartment, and even then you need some level of noise proofing between you and your neighbors (mineral wool insulation, brick/masonry walls, decouple walls with resilient channels, etc). Mini split for small spaces is a must as well. They operate much quieter than a standard HVAC system in the US, they take up less space, and they get rid of all of the problems that come with duct work (requires more maintenance, provides a place for mold and moisture to buildup, carries noise throughout the whole structure of the home)

If I was Prime Minister of this country, I would give every Canadian 50 acres of Crown land to hold as their property for as long as they live. No taxes, nobody can take it away for any reason, it cannot be sold, only traded for someone else's 50 acre parcel. Nobody would be landless. Worst case, you can go live there if you have nothing else. When you die, it goes back into the land pool and gets handed out to somebody else.

No fuck that. I live in a small place like that and it sucks. Having lots of kitchen space makes it faster and easier to cook healthy meals. You want all your clothes to soak up garlic smell and smoke every time you cook? Having space for a deep freezer means easier to save buying meat in bulk on sale. It's paradoxically easier to keep a larger floor clean. Easier to do little projects when you have a separate area for tools and dirty materials. Just surviving in a cuck shed isn't enough.

>>533955086
>>533955899
The Sims taught millennials that bigger isn't better. More to clean, more to heat or cool, and more property taxes ain't worth it. You want basic conveniences like a room for your bed that isn't stored in the wall and an attached garage, but pools, saunas, soaking tubs, and formal dining rooms require maintenance and gather dust.
>>
>>533956311
Some place to work on things because I have hobbies other than jerking off and the second fridge is half full of beer while the other half is for larger stuff like party platters, cakes, or pizza boxes.
>>
>>533955074
You don't need a huge kitchen. You want a few luxuries like filtered drinking water and an automatic ice maker. Unless you cook for a living, you don't need a pot filler or six burners. And roombas should be cleaning your floors daily instead of you.
>>533956442
What do you work on? How often do you host guests? You can just put a few beers in a fridge at a time and store your cake and pizza in smaller containers.

This setup ain't bad. You gotta have an attached car garage that opens up into the kitchen. I'd give the toilet its own room because you shouldn't be doing your most disgusting act in the same room you get clean in. Washer and dryer could move into the bathroom instead. A dishwasher is desirable and your own office or personal room is a real luxury. The three rooms every person would like just to themselves is a bedroom, a closet, & an office.

You don't NEED all that either, all you need is to not starve or freeze to death.
But unless you are a crazed hobo, you want more.
And the whole point of the human race is that we work hard and do amazing things for two reasons. One is to secure the means for a happy or at least comfortable life. The second reason is haredr to explain, it is more of a compulsion that goes against comfort. But that is beside the point.

Do you have any ide how much space a kid needs? My son is only 2, and he already occupies more of the flat than i do.
As for hobbies, i need a yard. City life is subhuman. That is not how we are meant to live. I at least want a space where i can do woodworking, oil painting, and home chemistry projects, 3d printer, etc... also, i play DnD with my wife and friends. Then there is the astrophotography, microscopy and the working out... all things that need space.
Now i don't NEED these things, but aside from my wife and kids, and the job i enjoy, these are what make me happy.

I rememeber making "people mill" houses like this in the early Sims, so I could populate the neighborhood.
>>
>>533949370
what is it with thirdies and having the house entrance be directly to a room either a kitchen or a living room
is the concept of a foyer or hall so alien to them?

I did only couple buildings like this.

>>533949370
That may be just fine for you, but I prefer to have a roof over all of that.

I refuse. Where there is a will, there is a way.
Thank fuck i live in hungary, where buying a house is possible. I'm in STEM, and i just got a job in the military.
If my understanding of how home loans work is correct, and my finantial advisor is to be believed, i can buy a hous within a year, with no loan longer than 20 years.
As for pods, if i had no other options, i'd jus buy land and put a shipping container prefab house on it. Still a better option then rotzing in the city.
After a lifetime in the mountains, i have been living in a flat for 5 years now, and it is suffocating.
How do people live like this? Packed together like meat, no one actually knows anyone, there are homeless... and no yard! Who the fuck buys vegetables that can grow like a weed. Fuck this shit.

Perfect if it had in-unit laundry.

This is a problem yeah. I love slow cooking chilli and stews and stuff and it's just too much when your bed is 6 feet from the kitchen counter

>>
>>533949370
yeah that's fine, while you're single, can't raise a family in that though. and you should get started on a family when you're young before the eggs expire. add a proper bedroom and a couple small kids bedrooms

but really its not even that houses are the issue, cheaper smaller houses doesn't solve for the fact that the entire housing market has become an investment scam. as long as housing is a scheme for getting rich we're going to have a problem
