I used to work in real estate. You guys think it's aimless destruction but there is a motive behind it. People on city council get to decide where to move section 8 and the homeless shelters. They destroy neighborhoods with the intent to buy up property at firesale prices then move section 8 and kick the homeless out. Then they sell to developers and make a very significant profit.

The area is fucking incredible but the people are fucking retards. It must have been incredible to live there with Microsoft money in the 80s and 90s though. My sister's husband is well off from working at Microsoft for 20+ years and they live an hour or so north but lived in Bellevue for a long time. If the area was all white and centered like it used to be there are few places better in the country but that shit is over now
