This is great fucking news! California is going to implement a 1-time tax on the ultra wealthy. A 5% tax on all ASSETS WORLDWIDE over $1.1 billion. This is going to raise over $100 billion that will fund healthcare, education, and food assistance. Damn if feels good to be a California.
It’s finally time for those billionaires to pay their fair share!

It's a great idea, but libfags are going to waste a lot of the money on corrupt bullshit.

>wealth tax
>great fucking news
Retard alert.

Like what?
>>
>>533959437
Better to burn it than let a select few hoard it over the rest of us.
>>
>>533959437
How is it a great idea? How many people does it affect? like, 4?

lol ur a brokie redditor

5% try 50% and then were onto something

>there are only 4 billionaires with legal residence in California

bulbhead fraud will take110% of that.

wow you are stupid

>>

>>533959930
Only poor people with no money even give a shit about the tax. Rich people know it doesn’t work because you don’t screw people that pay most of the taxes. I think 10% pay 50% of the taxes. 70% of Americans have no savings. Top 70-90% are treading water. Only top 10% are doing well.
>>
>>533959280
>California is going to implement a 1-time tax on the ultra wealthy.
>1-time
Until the next time, when they shift the bars to cast a bigger net, rinse and repeat eternally.

Yeah pretty sure billionaires live in Texas, Nevada, or some territory that isn't technically a state but you're still a US citizen.
>>
>>533959732

As of early 2026, California is home to approximately 186 to 200 billionaires, holding the highest concentration of ultra-wealthy residents in the United States. The state’s billionaire population is heavily concentrated in the Bay Area—anchored by tech fortunes—and Los Angeles, with total wealth in the hundreds of billions.
>>
>>533959280
woundn't they just leave the state? I heard something similar happend in NYC?
>>
>>533960457
Most rich New Yorkers are in Miami now.
>>
>>533959280
The billionaires will move to Texas and Florida.
They will not LIVE in California, but still run their businesses that are in California.

Texas And Florida get richer and California gets poorer
>>
>take 5% of assets of every billionaire in your state
>it funds 3.5 months of your expenditure
Leftists really are fucking retarded
>>
>>533959280
Good thing my assets are valued at 1.02 bln, not quite at that pesky 1.1bln mark needed. Oh well, I reallly reaaaaally wanted to pay more taxes but gosh diddly dang
>>
>>533959280
If you are worth a billion and you own any land or any assets in california, by law they can take 5% of your assets if you don't pay up. It's doesn't matter if you are a billionair living in France, they get 5% of your asset wealth so if you don't pay they will seize all your assets in California. Most will pay.
Even if you own a $100,000 home in california and you are a billionair in belgium you will have to pay 5% of your total assets. Or they will seize your $100,000 home.
>>
>>533959280
They must have made it $1.1 billion because a democrat big shot in California but be worth a little under that amount.
>>
>>533959280
>one time
cringe
>>
>>533960043
Federal Reserve data shows the top 1% holds as much wealth as the bottom 90% combined. If 90% of the country is treading water while the top 1% owes $175B in unpaid taxes annually, the system is stalled. That $175B is less than 1% of our GDP, but it's enough to end poverty in America. At that scale, they're just dragons hoarding mountains of gold they'll never live to spend, watching the very people who defend them drown in liberal tears.
>>
>>533961194
What do you mean by hording? If one person has a lot of wealth does that mean someone else cant have wealth?
Is wealth as zero sum game?
>>
>>533961194
that's not FED data, it's the retarded OXFAM report where they consider debt as negative value. So if you have a mortgage on your $2M mansion you're poorer than a starvin african villager.
You dishonest retarded commie fuck.

Free gender swap surgeries, faggotry peddling, gibs for the fresh off the boat browns, women "empowerment" and other jew-coded degeneracy bullshit.

The American civil war will be fought between the poor communist east/West coasts and the prosperous republican Gulf and interior. A good thing that Trump renamed the Gulf, because it will be the most prosperous and important region in the US in the near future.
>>
>>533961194
There is no "end poverty" you fucking retard. Communists will squander the money while achieving nothing and that cost will balloon year after year until it is unplayable and the system collapses.
>>
>>533961194
You realise the vast majority of that wealth is bullshit paper wealth and unrealised gains right? If you ceased all of Elon Musks wealth, all $800 billion, if you had to then convert it to actual cash you’d be lucky to get 20 cents on the dollar.
>>
>>533959727
Wagies really have no understanding of wealth. They believe wealthy people have a safe full of money to swim around in when the reality is the money is invested to keep gaining value.
>>
>>533961755
>ceased
Seized. Fuck I need a coffee.
>>
>>533959727
No and you are actually retarded. I'm surprised you can even speak English.

tis what happens when women and niggers vote though.
>>
>>533959280
There shouldn't be any billionaires we need to have a 100% tax bracket and set a "maximum salary" we also need to forbid anyone from owning more than billion dollars in assets. These people have far too much power and do not do anything for society they are parasites.
>>
>>533961168
It is a start. I am not a leftist, but watch as this turns California (an ultra leftist failed state) around suddenly and people realize - it was always the rich jews taking all the resources. Then we will be for a 2nd Kristallnacht.

imagine playing a buggy MOBA that seems fun, balanced, and has social ladder systems
some players exploit a glitch giving them disproportionate strength over all players using an imbalanced character. their first mover advantage that can't easily be replicated. they top the ladder by doing this gay exploit. everyone realizes the character itself is imbalanced and goes against the spirit of the game.
other players can play the lame character and use the exploit but it requires constant playing (effort, sacrifice, commitment) for relative advantage over average players. all variance is useless besides copying the exploit on the gay character. however players will never ever ever catch the strongest 0.1% of the ladder now because they racked up so many points
the game isn't fun
the top of the ladder is fake and gay
this could be patched and the ladder could be normalized instead of hard reset (to the advantage of 99.9% of players) although the players at the top would be forced to play using new strategies and could always rediscover a new exploit ( but so could the rest of the players)
do you patch the game without touching the ladder?
do you touch the ladder without patching the game?

recaptcha was a 6 pointed star btw
>>
>>533959870
Not quite but close. It's like 190 and it's going to be a lot less soon.
>>
>>533959280
Permanently crippling your tax base to fund like a year and a half of government expenses is a great idea. Would be very funny to see them try to figure out what to do when the money runs out. Unfortunately something like this would never be allowed to pass.
>>
>>533959280
The more they spend on programs to help the homeless the more homeless there are.
Why?
If you are getting paid $200,000 a year to help end homelessness why would you end it?
It is an entire industry of billions being paid to people to end homelessness to feed the homeless and to distribute needles, crack pipes and narcon.
If the homeless goe away, 1000s of people will ose their jobs. It's there jjob to help the homeless and the more homeless there are the more jobs.
>>
>>533959280
>one-time payment of *at least* 55 million
Yuck, they'll just parkour over to nevada.
>>
>>533961762
You're right, and sudden wealth taxes would force bilionaires to divest of some wealth generating assets for the cash to pay the tax, and that means that wealth taxes are far more expensive than they appear at face value. Moving residences to avoid taxes is unironically the humanitarian thing to do, because it means that businesses that employ people might not get sold off and shuttered.

Retards actually think any of that money will impact their life and not just go directly into the pockets of other rich people who have less than a billion dollars
>>
>>533960043
Why can some people afford to pay that much tax?
Do the top 10 percent of whatever tiny amount it is really create all the wealth or do they just own everything so it all goes to them?
If they are so rich that they can afford to pay all the taxes why do they make so much more money than everyone else?
>>
>>533963335
If the assets generate wealth then when they sell them they will generate wealth for the new owner who could also be taxed.
>>
>>533959280
Need that money for them fraud programs
YOU GET NOTHING
>>
>>533961762
Claiming it's just paper wealth is the ultimate wagie self-own. Billionaires don't need to sell stock; they use the "Buy, Borrow, Die" loophole to take massive tax-free loans against their assets. They get liquid cash to spend while reporting zero income to the IRS.

And the companies they run pull the exact same scam. Tesla made $5.7B in U.S. profits and paid $0 in federal income tax, but handed over $1B in taxes to China.

We are the top energy producer on the planet—we have the wealth of Saudi Arabia—but the 1% treats our country like a third-world strip mine. You aren't alphas, you're just unpaid internet security for dragons that happily fund our foreign adversaries while you drown in liberal tears trying to protect the very hoard they use to exploit you. Stop hurting yourselves.
>>
>>533960514
yeah I've heard. prob only a matter of time till that turns belly up as well
>>
>>533959280
None of them are going to pay
>>
>>533961194
You fucking moron. They are not dragons hoarding mountains of gold because all that wealth doesn't sit idly by, inactive. It's all active in the system, generating more wealth, being leveraged for further investments and keeps the companies that pays everyone's salaries afloat.
The moment anyone actually tries to touch it, they try to take it out (to pay a tax for instance) the entire system collapses because suddenly all the estimated value is gone.

The financial crisis happened because just 8% of all mortgages stopped being paid. 8 goddamn fucking percent, that's it. What do you think happens when you devalue the 90% of all wealth that you say is in the hands of 1%, that the entire system is built around keeping the estimation on?
>>
>>533959280
Based, now they can build TWO high speed rails!
