You would need diesel in order to operate farming machinery, you also need electricity in order to make biodiesel, so it's not economically viable. You could make biodiesel from farming byproducts, like lard or fat, or you could use animal waste for methane production before using it for fertilizer, but this would need a lot of infrastructure.
