why do amerilards love socialism so much? literally every shitty policy they jerk off to already stands implemented in my country and as you all know it is a massive shithole, India was literally a closed soviet style socialist state for around 40 years, until it went bankrupt in 1991, and was forced to open in exchange for loans by the IMF, it was only after liberalisation things began to improve, the GDP went up, quality of life improved etc.After 40 years of socialism, most indians were unironically shiting on streets, roads, water supply, electricity were non existent in most places, owning a car was impossible for 99.9% of population, only top politicians and bureaucrats owned cars.

India is still "socialist" in a way that we still have shitty government schools and hospitals, that only the absolute rural slumhole people living in abject poverty are forced to go to.Before 1991, business and industry in india was directly controlled by government.In 70s, when the government went bankrupt, remaining private banks were nationalised overnight by the government to steal people's money (they literally put limits on withdrawals).
It is funny to me that socialist politicians in india have all their money parked in offshore swiss accounts, their children attend schools in US, work for US corporations while they sell the socialism meme to illiterate poor jeets here.
