If you don't have kids, eventually your wealth will go to the state after your death. That's what they want for the middle class. The middle class is the #1 most dangerous thing to the rich, because they could theoretically become rich too. Ideally, the rich want everyone else to be a poor peasant and to maximize their own profit. The peasants can have a dozen children for all they care, as long as they don't accumulate wealth.
