1.drones are too slow to trigger APS
2. You have to turn off APS when the crew are outside or any nearby shot - even if it wouldnt have hit the guys outside - triggers the APS which then kills everybody around the tank anyway
Historically since WW2 tanks can only survive in urban fights if they have supporting infantry to take out anti-tank crews while the tank protects them in mutual support.
Now with APS they cant have supporting infantry teams and rely on APS alone.
