The US is not anything unique here. We can look at our european leaders. They are weak. The population here, they are also weak. When you see a multi colored hair fanatic here in Europe with septum and $3k in welfare payouts every month, you know that person is not going to think about long term investments and the future of his or hers country on a logical and common sense level. When you see some redneck in the middle of Alabama who probably never left his 500 population town and didnt even finish high school, you cant expect that person to chose someone who use a very articulated language and talk about micro and macro economy.
