J. D. Vance has repeatedly questioned the Defense Department’s depiction of the war in Iran and whether the Pentagon has understated what appears to be the drastic depletion of U.S. missile stockpiles.

Earlier in April, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth claimed complete military victory over Iran during a press conference on the ceasefire between the US and Iran.

In less than 10 days, Central Command, with less than 10 percent of the US's total combat power, dismantled one of the world's largest military forces, he said, according to Politico.

Both Hegseth and Chief of Defence Staff Dan Caine have repeatedly claimed that US weapons stockpiles are robust.
However, these positive statements do not go down well with Vice President J.D. Vance. He is said to have questioned several times whether the Pentagon has underestimated the depletion of US missile stocks. This is reported by the American magazine The Atlantic.
There is complete confusion about the weapons stockpiles of the two countries. In March, Hegseth claimed that the Americans had complete control over Iranian airspace. In April, however, the Iranian military shot down a US fighter jet, triggering a major rescue operation.

Nylig kom det fram at USA allerede kan ha brukt opp mer enn halvparten av sin førkrigsforsyning av fire viktige ammunisjonsvåpen, ifølge en rapport fra Center for Strategic and International Studies, en tenketank i Washington DC. Det skriver avisa The Hill.

According to the CSIS report, the United States likely still has enough missiles and bombs to continue attacking and defending against Iran, but the amount of ammunition is not enough to match an adversary like China. Hegseth’s optimistic portrayals to the press appear to be designed to give the president what he wants to hear.

Is this not what keeps the economy going? Start pointless conflicts around the world every year, get funding for it, manipulate the economy. Rinse and repeat
