Reminder: You can't get your time back, there is nothing after, and all of the shit that's paraded around by the media 24/7 is abjectly meaningless and amounts to monkeys playing with a pile of shit.
Humanity could actually be making hard scientific and existential progress right now, but instead our species is being set on a hamster wheel by low-IQ rich people and their pets who view momentary comfort and status as more important than ascension and eternity.

Can't get my time back but the fact that I'm almost 40 years of age is a miracle by itself, with or without wasted years.

You can't get your time back, but you can certainly make more of it. It's scientifically possible.
Regarding the ascension and eternity thing, it's not obtainable through religion. If gods exist by any measure, it's a very "pick yourselves up by your bootstraps" mentality on the table. You have to build your eternity and obtain it through scientific merit. Nobody is going to hand it to you just because you beg for it or create arbitrary hurdles to jump over that do nothing of consequence towards actually improving anything.
