Let me educate you retards. OPEC is essentially a gentlemen’s agreement amongst the largest oil producers in the east. One part of the agreement is to limit production to keep a stable and profitable oil price. UAE leaving OPEC is a major fucking problem for the oil market because it signals that they will start producing in excess of what they previously were allowed to produce under OPEC. This is a serous fracture and could undermine all of OPEC especially if other members leave to ride the gravy train. On paper this seems nice, more supply = lower prices, however once the Iran war ends it’s entirely possible that oil in a peaceful OPEC-less world will rebound downwards violently. Again, this seems nice, but oil production is America is relatively expensive compared to the rest of the world. We will be the first squeezed out of the market. Gas will be cheap but the American O&G industry will implode onto itself. Realistically we’ll just start more wars before that happens though. GGs
