Glass bottles have more microplastics.
>This study is the first to assess microplastic contamination in various beverages sold in France. It showed that MPs were present in all the samples analyzed, with contamination levels heterogeneous depending on beverages, with a size between 30 and 500 µm. In addition, the comparative study of different containers showed that the container has an impact on this MP contamination. Counterintuitively, drinks sold in glass bottles were more contaminated by MPs. Experiments have shown that these MPs originate from the exterior paint of capsules. A cleaning step before encapsulation can significantly reduce beverages’ contaminations. However, cleaning does not remove all the MPs from the capsule.

> cane sugar
Best taste ever. I never use white sugar for desserts or cakes, only brown cane sugar.
>>
>>534058871
If they had an option for that then hell yeah, although I don’t really see how this is /pol/-related.
I actually already frequently do that, take smaller portions of soda I mean - I never buy larger bottles of it for myself, just individual cans, and even when I DO get a can, I often drink half and save the rest in the fridge for the next day, with some tinfoil or cling wrap wrapped over it or something so it doesn’t go flat as quick.

This is just because I’m too conscious of how high-sugar it is… soda is just NOT a big regular vice of mine, and I’m too self-conscious of the health effects of it to want to ingest that much liquid sugar & calories … ironically, I’m still fat, it’s just that it’s other vices that get me lol, solid snacks/desserts/junk-food mostly.

Regardless, yeah, for these exact reasons, I’d love a mini-version of soda. A smaller can or half-sized can, sounds ridiculous but I’d love it.
Diet sodas don’t fix the dilemma for me by the way b/c I’m just skeptical of artificial sweeteners, too, and I believe it’s true from various studies they can still be linked to weight-gain/fuckery with your blood-sugar levels, insulin, glucose-uptake in your body or whatever, and also appetite, such that they still basically act like sugar and can promote weight-gain or a larger appetite … so, again, diet-sodas don’t fix it for me (on top of the fact that I also don’t like the taste, it always feels too weirdly “fake” to me compared to just good old sugar).

So, much of a faggot as I am for using this board as my personal diary today, yeah, mini-cans of soda would be great, that’s like how much I want to drink whenever I do drink soda. It’s like a treat for me every week or two, and, again, even when I do take that treat, I’m self-conscious of all the liquid calories/sugar, so I’d be happy for like a shot-sized version of soda.

If you've seen how much kids leave in the can all the time, yeah, and many adults don't want a full can at the same time either.
This one's 100% accurate actually, they already do make squat cans of pop for this reason. I can't get through a whole can of bangs but if it's a little can it's enjoyable.

> White sugar is cane sugar
Not everywhere. In Europe white sugar is made from beet root. They white cane sugar in America is extra refined and lacks the typical cane taste of the brown, less refined cane sugar.

None of that bleached shit, none of that industrial waste HFCS that isn't even sugar.

In the US they're chemically sucrose, we remove all the molasses from it so it's not going to have a brown color or molasses taste. I've seen some people buy and add molasses after the fact but I think that tastes like shit.

Kind of right in that it typically derives from cane-sugar but also, nah, the other anon ALSO has a point:

White sugar is REFINED sugar. It’s a more refined, processed version of sugar that’s basically all sucrose, and, besides that, it *typically* comes from sugarcane but ALSO can come from sugar beets. This white refined sugar is also called granulated sugar

DuckDuckGo (search engine):
>Granulated sugar (white sugar) is refined from sugarcane or sugar beets and consists almost entirely of sucrose, while cane sugar is derived only from sugarcane and undergoes slightly less processing, giving it a light golden color and a hint of molasses flavor. Cane sugar crystals are often larger and don't dissolve as quickly, which can be advantageous for certain textures in baking.

Here’s a picture of cane sugar, more brown, has molasses in it, and bigger chunks, as processed from the sugarcane also shown in the picture. It’s often sold as “organic sugar”, “organic cane sugar”, “organic brown sugar”, whatever.
It has SOME more trace minerals and nutrients than refined (white) sugar, but it’s a very small amount, and also basically has about the same calories per weight as refined white sugar has; regardless, per people’s unique tastes, some find the less refined, coarser brown sugar/cane sugar superior, not as cloyingly and powerfully sweet maybe, and with a bit more natural flavor you can taste.

Health-wise it’s still practically the same though, but also the health industry & food studies can be paid off, so maybe I also don’t trust them in saying that.

Customers want:
>Real sugar. Whether cane sugar or combination of cane & beet sugar. Real Sugar Pepsi has the latter.
>12 oz. cans or bottles. The perfect size.
>Strong carbonation. I hate weak carbonation drinks that get flat quickly.
>Consistent flavor.
That’s it. Not rocket science.
