Is it fair to call the 2026 Iran War a world war at this point? Will future historians look back at the start of the 2022 Russo-Ukraine War or the 2026 Iran War as the start of World War III in the same people people see Japanese invasion of Manchuria in 1931 as the start of World War II?

Iran isn't nearly big enough of a threat to call this WW3. their military capabilities were heavily degraded in the first 30 days. now they're being economically suffocated and also suffering from internal power struggles. USA & Israel could wipe out the country entirely tomorrow if they wanted toRussia, if they commit to mandatory drafting & mobilization, may trigger a larger war. however, they're probably too weak for it to expand beyond Europe. China isn't going to openly help them
