The second century of humiliation for china began when Trumps military captured maduro while his chinese handlers who had just arrived in Venezuela earlier that day were preparing their dog meat dinner
>>
How come people stopped caring about this?

Turns out the Venezuelans continued selling their oil to China.

americans have lost it and are obsessed with China because they're deathly afraid of losing hegemony, which is inevitable. It's just sad to see at this point.

If genociding the Jews means I have to speak Chinese and eat dog meat, then so be it. Jews are so much worse than anything else I ever experienced.

Do people care about anything anymore? Happenings are memoryholed within days. We're just junkies for shocking news but the high fades really fast and we're not being directly affected so who cares? Even when we are directly affected, like with the pandemic, a lot of people react with excitement or relief because any drastic change is potentially good news for people who are living miserable lives.

While checking pol and news media for me is a compulsion because of the potential reward of shocking news, I don't take pleasure in the news of people suffering or am immune to anxiety, my situation is analogous to that of a junkie feeding their addiction even while desperately wanting to quit and being repulsed by it. The pandemic is the only happening I can say I truly enjoyed, not because of the deaths or any other morbid, edgy reason but because it was so unifying at its peak. The pandemic unified all these bubbles of people living very different lives and it felt really comforting to be on "the same page" as everyone else. The other reason is that, in the early days, we were unsure how bad it would get and how long it would last. That lack of predictability gave people hope that a lot could change for the better.

Because trumps enemies were depending on embellishing negative consequences from the action, but it turns out there were literally none and everything just kept going as usual, we nabbed the guy we wanted and the country kept working and arguably worked a little bit better. So without any bad news to blame trump on they just stopped talking about it.

don't worry, people will remember maduro when the trial ends, he walks free, and resumes his presidency
the mutt cope will be unreal
