The problem is that Western society sufferes from a serious lack of emotional discipline. What you want to do and what you should do are often not the same, and it requires discipline to deny yourself what you want in the moment, for the larger payout in the future. You shouldn't always deny yourself what you want, that won't make you happy either, but you should keep it to smaller things where the loss/consequences aren't all that relevant.But instead, people always do what they want and never what they should, and then whine that their behavior should either be normalized so they can dodge the consequences, or that the state should just steal the long term payoff from someone who had that discipline and given it to the hedonist-maxxed retards so they too can enjoy the benefits of the sacrifices they never made.So everything starts to go to shit because the objectively correct behavior is punished, while the hedonistic gets rewarded.Which means people will stop doing the right thing because now it's just self-denial and then the payout gets stolen from you anyway so there's no point.
