independent here. i ignore and avoid news and propaganda by having the mindset that nothing is new under the sun. i am 44, married with children so my focus is inward on the success and flourishment of my family so when any thing political that flies over my house is easily broken down into its components parts which allows me to see that most news and events literally have no impact on my family's success because most news and events are a repeat of a previous event which also had no impact on our life. the things that DO affect our lives well they are not perpetual or eternal in a groundhog day sense. a new tax law, a new gun law, a new vehicle law, may be passed but that happens only in a brief moment in time. the initial passing of the law may be annoying, irksome, or worrisome in the moment but then it passes and life rolls on as before. the "ripple effect" of a new law or something isnt as prominent as people think and their lives absorb the change pretty smoothly. people just usually like to hold onto gripes as they begrudgingly do x, y, or z. most often people believe EVERY news or event impacts or affect their lives and as such freak out at every single happening.
