Probably slightly above average, meaning he's in way over his head. Better men than him have struggled in that position.

This is true tbf. I think all candidates for statewide/national office should undergo a rigorous battery of physicals, IQ test, personality tests, background checks etc. And make them take drug tests jist like the serfs who have to do that to keep their shitty jobs. 3/4 of our current government would be gone overnight if we applied these standards and then maybe we could make some progress.

He only got in because his even richer, eviler real estate father than Trump paid those colleges millions of dollars. Hegseth's own professors have said he is kind of dumb and didn't belong there. >>534120850
Yes, but we are talking about a marginal difference caused by the environment.
Ironically, the thing that most fucked people over in the IQ department was diet.
Here in Brazil, our natives main source of carbs was the semi-domesticated cassava, which, if eaten raw, causes your body to not absorb some essential nutrients, like iodine, so the offspring often were born with EXTREMELY LOW IQs due to malnutrition.
America used to have a serious issue with this up to the point when they started to add iodine to the kitchen salt, literally raising the IQ of the nation to something like 15 to 25 points (not making this shit up; you can Google it).
These "environmental variables" don't affect poor Americans too much nowadays, so the difference in IQ between poor people and rich people is not so huge anymore.
>>
>>534116555
Not very high I figure.
Rich people tend to learn one behavior pattern from their parents early, that guarantees them not falling out of favor with upper class and follow that pattern till they die.
They absolutely do not need to be intelligent to be rich or to occupy an influential position.
>>
>>534121272
>>534121394

>our schooling system fucking sucks too
I was taught in some experimental "woke" ways back in the end of the 90s and beginning of the 2000s, before teachers realised that it was a meme, and to this day I still struggle with some basic stuff.
For example, I was taught to read by looking at the word and giving it a meaning instead of the traditional syllabic system. This indeed made me read faster, but holy shit, I can't tell if some word is written wrong even if my life depends on it. I have always struggled with grammar, not only in Portuguese but also with all the other languages I learnt after that, no matter how much I read.
I also struggle with basic multiplication because my teacher did not believe that decorating the multiplication table was necessary "in the age of computers". And learning stuff when you are older is really hard.
It's so funny that we managed to reverse 700 years of progress in education because some people smoking weed wanted to try something new when they freshly came out of university, and now they are too stupid to admit that they were wrong.

This. It's how the Ivy Leagues work. The poor and middle-class kids (the White and Asian ones, anyway) are almost always pretty smart. Most of the super-rich kids are not. It is what it is.

I knew one middle-class White guy who graduated summa from Harvard. Two days after 9/11 he emailed me to say that Israel did it, Sayeret Matkal rigged WTC 1, 2, and 7 for controlled demolition, the Pentagon was hit by a cruise missile, and the attacks would be used by ZOG as an excuse to fight endless wars in the Middle East for Israel's benefit. A midwit isn't average. A midwit is someone who has a slightly above-average IQ but is convinced he's brilliant. To be fair, one of his wives died while still married to him. Apparently she was the one he was really in love with and he never got over her death.

High IQ people really don't pay attention to IQ.
Like, when you know how to play guitar, it really isn't impressive anymore.
To me, Hegseth, although he's few years younger than me, appears as a guy whom I'd go for a beer with.

I think Hegseth sees himself as the main character in some thriller novel or action movie. He's a Trump epigone.

Narcissistic, Histrionic, Personality Disorder. Unfortunately it entails a level of grandiose delusional thinking that could lead a man to set the world on fire.

If the republic survives trump, it will take years to undo the damage hegseth has done. He's made andi making America particularly vulnerable.

post 2015 4chan is full of newfaggots that started out on reddit. 4chan is basically an edgy, contrarian subreddit. In the same way as there's not much difference between republicans and democrats, there's not much diference between reddit and 4chin. You're not polar opposites.

Actually no. Reddit cannot be contrarian by its basic design decisions. You only get upboats for agreeing with the hive mind.

You're forgetting that 125 just seems like a "nice, slightly above average" number because you're used to male autists on /pol/ and the like. 125 is above midwit territory, 125 is "smartest in the class". The girls with highlighters are below that, and hegseth is at that kind of level. 110 id guess

Wrong. Your inherent intelligence determines your potential, a from/to range. Exercise only determines where you'll be in that range. No amount of mental activity will make an average sub-saharan smarter than an average Dutch.

There are no contrarian fora. This board included.
Every single one becomes a hivemind because that's what people are like, they want to fit in. That's why the majority of this board have broadly similar views on things, if you step out of line you will get shouted down. It became particularly bad in the MAGA era because the entire board was dominated by pro Trump spam. People here pretend that wasn't the case now but you can look on the 4plebs archive and prove it easily. The pro Trump spam didn't really end until 2.0, and after he covered up for Epstein was when support went off a cliff here most obviously.

In the olden days of the internet it was the same thing. You didn't have a downvote or upvote system on internet forums either but they all became a hivemind based around what the big users believed. It was worse on those places because there'd be a core of about 20 - 30 power users including mods who drove all discussion and anyone out of line would get shouted at. Usernames make it worse because people get to know what other users are like rather than here. That's the only real difference.

Also crying about reddit on here in itself is an example of groupthink, people do it here because they see other people do it all the time and want to fit into the club. It takes a strong mind to avoid groupthink and most people don't have one.

sage, bump.

you're not on some kind of fundamentally different social media platform. you're not even functionally anonymous on /pol/ or legally anonymous on the whole site. Reddit and 4chan has more similarities than differences particularly in content.. And most chantards are reddit enthusiasts.

Bannon and Epstein set-up /pol/ with m00t for a price. Part of the deal was letting their shills work unhindered whilst limiting dissent. At the same time Ghislane MAxwell was one of the lead moderators and financiers of reddit.

you're a rube, a useful idiot.

Dont pretend that cunts like hegseth have read books on the matter. His understanding of the crusades would have been determined by the scott movie from which he models himself on Guy de Lusignan and co.

No, most of us voted for Trump in 2016 and are now thoroughly disgusted with his slavish, disastrous devotion to Israel and Netanyahu. >you're not on some kind of fundamentally different social media platform.

Yeah, you are actually. There is a fundamental difference between 4chan and reddit. The difference is whether you get attention for upvotes, or attention for replies.

Reddit makes you visible for getting upvotes and invisible for disagreeing and that's why reddit is reddit.

4chan makes you visible for getting a lot of replies, even (especially) if they're all telling you that you're a fucking retard, and that's why 4chan is 4chan.

Those are very different things, and that's why there are such big differences between forum cultures.

>>534127780
>That's why the majority of this board have broadly similar views on things, if you step out of line you will get shouted down.
Being shouted down has no price on 4chan and it actually gets you more attention. That's why to be on here for a while needs sophisticated bait detection.

I don't hate reddit, it's where I look if I want to find reviews of something I want to buy, but I won't look for political opinions there, because it encourages groupthink and stalking. On 4chan the worst they can do is call you a fag, reddit's persistent ID lets people ruin your life. (Xitter has the same problem)
