Wow, are Europeans actually THIS poor? Like, I joke around about the europoor meme, but this is grim.
>>
>>534127411
You have no idea. If they're lucky enough to get a washer and drying it's a single combo unit in their kitchen. And their bedrooms are the size of closets and don't have closets in them.

Europoor bros... The Americans are laughing at us again
>>
How long does that take to dry? Isn't Europe outside of Al Andalus humid as fuck?
>>
Washing machines are just another example of american capitalism, there's a reason people here don't use that retarded shit that makes clothes last 3x less time.

>how do we squeeze out more profit from people
>wait we can make a machine to dry clothes
This isn't even a joke btw, Americans are the only ones who use that garbage.
It's literally the way that Americans depend on cars, companies run your country and lobbied your government to depend on cars. And now look at how fat your populace is and now you're getting fucked due to high gas prices lmao

I'm an american and I use a drying rack in the US, because humidity is already dried out via AC.
>>
>>534127635
Idk why I had my meme flag on, I'm in Spain rn. Washing machines and cars are something I don't miss at all. It's retarded
>>
>>534127411

Towels about 24 hours.
Regular clothes about 12 hours.
Pants get a mildew smell since they take longer so I have to run a fan under it.

I'm on the coast so it gets humid so if I wash sometimes I have to run a dehumidifier but in the US the AC kills the humidity anyway so running a dryer makes no sense

It’s true. I have literally the same rack and the same table.. I also have only a washing machine in the kitchen, no dryer, and I have no space for a dish washer so I have to wash the dishes by hand. Drying clothes takes around 1-2 days depending on how many and what type of clothes you put there, in the summer it takes 1 day or a couple of hours if you put it on your balcony
>>
>>534127411
i have a dryer too but i only use it for work clothes/jeans and bedsheets because it destroys clothes the rest of things i dry in a rack like that

These days most people just get a washer/dryer combo.
Where I live 9 months of the year you can use a clothes line in your yard or on your balcony.
The other 3 months you can just use a dehumidifier, which is necessary in an apartment anyway, if you also put the drying rack in the airflow of your AC the clothes dry extremely quickly.

Yuropeons cope in the weirdest ways. They've ALWAYS been like this toward Americans because Americans are made up of the European stock that was more entrepreneurial, pioneering, self-reliant, and generally just sick of kings and queens dictating how life should be. It's a deep seated jealousy but it comes from their ancestors' cowardice and lack of initiative.
Watch, one of them will try to smugly dismiss what I just pointed out trying not to sound butthurt but it will be obvious they are butthurt.

Having a washing machine alters the way you think. I used to live in the US and my mentality was
>I have work tomorrow so I'll wash tomorrow

Not having a dryer is unfathomable to americans. Only reason I got used to a rack is because I live in an actual country now

americans don't even realize this is their fate in the next 10-20 years when the US loses its global chokehold. the US only has such an abundance of energy and money because they take advantage of every third world country on this planet. as globalization reduces the gap between the mega rich and the mega poor countries, the quality of life of americans will begin to drop. when myanmar stops buying american trash, when china stops supplying slave labor to the US via ultra cheap goods, when everything is so digitized that indians can do your job 100% from across the world. americans will realize just how unfair their life style has been compared to the rest of the world. americans live like kings, even the poors live like kings compared to the average third worlder.

and i cant wait. i cant wait to see americans crying that their house is only 500 sq ft. i can't wait to see americans crying that they can't afford to just go for joyrides in their car, they can't go on three vacations a year, they can't eat steak 7 times a week, they can't buy a second weekend car, that america can't afford to bomb random south american countries just to fuck with them, that food needs to be carefully used instead of just thrown onto the ground for a tiktok video.

You have to leave it for a few hours in the washing machine for that to happen, but if it's on a dryer it basically can't happen unless it's 90% humidity in your house or something.

Also dripping is only a problem if you have a floor made of MDF panels or chipboard or whatever Americans use.
>>
>>534128930
This. I hang my clothes, go to bed, next morning they're dry. All underwear, socks, bedsheets, towels etc go in the dryer because I don't care if they shrink a bit. I have a combo which is best because you don't have to take it out of the washer and put it in the dryer. Just turn it on, go to bed, next morning clean clothes. If you're hanging individual socks one by one on a clothes line or a rack you must really hate yourself.

And then they started shit in the next most oil rich region.
The US itself only has about 12 years of oil reserves left.

Trump hates cheap renewables and started expensive wars to try to secure your oil future.
Europe invests in renewables instead.
We’ll see which approach works out in the end.
>>
I was going to tell europeans that you can avoid clothing shrinkage by washing in warm water and using modern fabrics that don't fade and bleed, but they can't afford warm water nor modern fabrics any more than they can afford dryers so its a moot point.

Washing machines are one of the most destructive inventions ever made, but not for the faggot reasons you gave. The evil of washing machines is they allowed women more free time during the day. Instead of scrubbing the family’s clothes for a few hours, they could sit on their ass and think about shit like being able to vote, or get a job so they could have more money to spend on useless shit.

Americans dont know how hard it is living here compared to the US.
Most of us has to walk 8 hours one way just to get water from a dam or a pond in a bucket and then walk back home again to give the family water.
This is why our work days are so short because we have to go very far for the basic needs.
I had a few pants and t shirts that needed to be washed yesterday, and due to harsh weather I came home a few hours ago after a 19 hour walk back and forth. Worst part is that I am out of soap for my clothes so I have to walk 2 hours just for that. We dont have fancy washing machine powder to wash our clothes, but use round soaps that we smear out of our clothes before putting it in the bucket to rinse.
Well, thats life. I need to get my shovel now so i can go into the woods and dig another hole so i can poop into it. :/

Industrial laundry technician, here

If you have a system to manage environmental humidity, air drying your clothes is the superior method.
The US uses a lot of artificial fibres in their clothing so they can stand up to the constant wash/dry cycle. In Europe, where we primarily still use natural fibres, this whole process destroys clothing.
Additionally, dryers are essentially one "trash can" (speaking to my audience, now) of dead skin cells. Yes, that's right, Americans are walking around like fucking lizards wearing their family members dead skin on them - I mean, that's fine if you're cool with that but talk about grim, huh?
And this is before we even get to the part where most people don't know how to effectively use washing machines, so invariably family members faecal material get transferred to the drier and get hot caked onto each others clothing...

So now we have a situation where they're walking around in cancer causing artificial clothing, with other people's poo particles and dead skin cling to them... And we wonder why they're all so smelly lol

I reside alone in a decent sized five bedroom, 2.5 bathroom detached home and my power and gas were disconnected last late spring until late autumn over unpaid bills. I had to resort to cold showers, running my laptop with my modest solar setup, using my wood stove, and washing clothes and linens in the bathtub.

Are not most western European countries on the cusp of seeing a mass exodus of young professionals?

Picrel is my garage where I spend most of my time in the warmer seasons. I could probably live contentedly in an RV if I had to - so long as I've got a supply of tobacco, Internet connectivity, and gourmet/comfort food is on the menu from time to time! Because people have hard water and if don't add vinegar or have a soft water system you can get stiffer line dry stuff. But line dry is still way better than a dryer for main clothing. Doesn't shrink of pill up your clothing.
Dryers just beat the shit out of clothing. Towels, socks etc are fine.

Why use a washer? I get a week or two out of underwear and socks, then just throw them away. They aren’t expensive, probably costs more to wash them a bunch of times than replace them. Tshirts don’t start to smell until at least a month of use. I’ll buy 3 or 4 jeans and rotate them for at least a year, never even look very dirty if I don’t spill anything on them. I have a couple hoodies that are at least 5 years old and have never been washed. If something does get soiled, just wear it in the shower, then it’s clean.
>>
I have a drier but I still usually dry my clothes that way.

It dries better. It doesn't wrinkle as much. It adds humidity to the air of the room it dries in. It uses no energy. The clothes smell fresher and look nicer. Even better if you do it in the sun which breaks down any remaining chemicals or bacteria on the clothes.

Amerimutts will go into generational debt just so they don't lift a finger or do anything. They will go 30 years into debt for a moldy, flimsy, wooden house. They will add debt to their debt for stupid useless gadgets, overpriced and useless tools that break all the time. Garbage disposals? Has any Amerimutt ever have one of those things NOT break? Then you have to pay another fat Amerimutt to fix it, because you can't do it yourself, just so it breaks again - because turns out attempting to have an industrial grade grinder in your shitty 120v powered homes doesn't really work too well. I wonder what happens if you put a spoon down there.

Why are you guys so obsessed with manual transmissions

You can still manually shift in an automatic whenever you need a lower gear or whatever. Otherwise who cares man

My mate ran the dryer all night to dry my stuff and it ruined 2 tshirts

When the weather is nice, we hang them in the garden to dry, using tree branches to hold the hangers; the clothes smell better that way.
>>
>>534127411
Just go to a laundromat.
>>
>>534127411
What's the issue? Some clothing shrinks too much.

didn't your hemisphere burn down an aircraft carrier because of lint?

The real price is more like 90% cheaper but those germans fags imposed some faggotry with the ue so we can't just get cheap power

Few hours on the clotheslines in my sauna, while its heating up so there is no moisture
My Swedish residence has a dryer but it really seems to harm the cloth.

Its really bizarre since we've had laundry rooms basically designed into every home plan from like the 70's. we even make space in the garage picrel. Not having your own personal washer and dryer is grim.

Nothing wrong with it

The house i grew up in is from 1800 and has two Waschküchen. Why do americans think this is such a flex?
>>
>>534128040
It literally does.

Am I missing something? Is drying your laundry on a line seen as "poor" in America? Do you need to buy another machine for that in order to not be considered "poor" in America? Why do you always need to buy some kind of machine for the simplest of things in life? You don't open your window, you buy air conditioning, you don't dry your clothes on a line, you buy a dryer, you don't compost, you buy a garbage disposal in a sink, you don't open a can manually, you buy an electric can-opener, you don't brew simple filtered coffee, you buy a complicated coffee machine with designated pots, you don't just use an oven or a pan, you use an air fryer. Does it really make you "rich" not being able to use the most simple things in life?

Wash with 1/2 cup borax or sodium bicarbonate.

Many Americans grew up with the idea that if you hang your laundry out to dry you are a poor hick that does not believe in progress. To an extent they were right. I grew up in the 80s and my rural grandparents hung their laundry out to dry.

imagine not having clotheslines in your back yard where the warm summer breeze dries your clothes naturally
>>
>>534127411
Whats wrong with clothesline drying? I know muricans all use dryers but there isn't much of a difference

I put vinegar in the fabric softener tray. I'll put bicarb soda in the drum, cheers
>>
>>534127411
Yeah but your walls are made out of cardboard. We don't do that in Germany
>>
>>534144743
>bicarb soda
the god compound
>cleans clothes
>removes stains
>removes limescale
>disinfects kitchen counters
>cures heartburn
>soothes insect bites
>removes bad breath
bicarb soda is love, bicarb soda is life

lol.
My mom used to hang clothes on the line in our backyard as kids, but that was the 1980s and I’ve used a machine since then. I am considering building a line this year. It honestly is a waste and your clothes feel and smell so nice when dried outdoors.

Why not dry in sauna?
>>

You would be surprised, Hans. Even middle class people here have pretty decent wealth. It’s pretty normal for someone to have a large house with land and a vacation home and a boat and all sorts of toys (atvs and such). We do have WAY more than you guys on average. I’m not saying this as a flex, I honestly want more prosperity for you guys.
>>
>>534128109
Yes, it was normal to dry clothes outdoors up until about the mid 80s. We had driers but only used them in cold months.
>>
>>534128110
I was told the same thing. I have a dishwasher but only hand wash dishes. I can’t stand machine washed dishes. They never get clean enough for me. I’m very particular about the cleanliness of dishes.
>>
>>534128286
Oh stfu. We’re on the same side. Most Americans, real Americans, want our brethren the prosper whenever they are in the world.
>>
>>534127411
I use this too in my apartment. OP is a pedophile.
>>
>>534128722
lol. Indeed. Why pick a fight with a country full of men who love to fight?
>>

One is time consuming.
>>
>>534127834
Hey. Why's all your shit pink bro? Hm?
>>
>>534128510
>He said it's poison
it's literally just Na2CO3
a stronger version of baking soda
>>
>>534130744
I remove mine straight away and it still smells after line dried because I have to do it indoors(strata bullshit rule)
>>
>>534128934
That’s a brilliant invention. Not good if you have a ton of clothes to wash, but great for an individual

You’re in for a lot of frustration and angst, my fren. America is going to continue to dominate the world for the next 3 generations at minimum. Some of us are going to make absolutely sure of that. The main schism right now is whether Europe should be grafted into that alliance or an amalgam of other nations. I’m a staunchly on the side of our European kin. It’s the only workable and durable model. And my view will, for that reason and others, prevail.
The other big question is what’s to be done about the Jew. Which is something I wrestle with a lot.

Except the humidity in the air encourages mould growth on the walls.

>open a window bro
In winter you lose heat, in summer you get bugs
>>
>>534127678
You’re a tard. How can you not miss a vehicle? It’s one of the best things about being an American. I just got a BMW and I can’t wait to drive it any day I have to hit the road.
>>
>>534145605

window screens must be unknown technology blyat in the Balkans

genuinely why should i buy a huge american home i cant afford? so i just hoard more shit in it?
>>
>>534144633
We have that too and ocassionally we can and do hang them up to dry in the sun but it's faster to just use the dryer for day to day washing. We're not limited to just nature.
