as an american it is absolutely retarded to have a favorite country because america literally has 50 different countries within it, with everything from differing laws to differing climate. the greatest misconception of america is that it is united in any meaningful way.
i move around a lot for work and every time i talk to people about moving here or moving there they ALWAYS talk bad about a state i may go to (even though it's still in america). even among americans they cant agree on any level of "greatness" .
