Just got an offer from the dream job and my dream company. They dont have WFH for my position though. I feel nothing. Worked my whole life for this and nothing. WFH has ruined me. I understand how foids who for ran through with BBC feel. How the fuck am I gonna sit in traffic all day again? I cant go back. Fuck!!!
>>
>>534130254
job is a job anon, it's just min-maxing effort to salary.
I make $125k and have to pop in like 15 minutes away for 12 hours per week, had an offer to make 180k for 40+ hours onsite like an hour away and turned it down.
Busting your ass for anything beyond comfortable and secure living is retarded imo.
>>
>>534131117
But with 180k u can retire early.. also considering AI is gonna take everyones jobs it better to gather as much money as u can while u can.
>>
>>534131117
Also u would obviously move close to work if u took that on site job
>>
>>534130254
no WFH = wagie in cagie

the difference in quality of life is immense. if you can do your job from home, dont take an onsite one, even if you have to take a pay cut
>>
>>534130254
I made $200k at my last job and they only required me in the office 2x every other week. I interviewed for a job at $300k but the travel was national and too frequent for my taste. Right now I'm in talks with a hospital system for a $250k job but it's on site full time. You just take the good with the bad.
>>
>>534131425
It's in an exciting field, I can tough it out fir 3 years then I'll have my foot in the door with this field and find a wfh role. And I need the job. My current boss put me on a PIP, they are gonna fire me soon.
>>
>>534131425
This 100%

I'll never go back.
>>
>>534131327
I have a newborn at home and rn I honestly need the time more than I need the money, when she grows up a bit I'll maybe reconsider.
You just gotta consider your circumstance and priorities I guess, but don't just blindly chase the shekels like too many dipshits do.
>>
>>534131327
>180k
>retire early
You have to be 18 to post here.
>>
>>534131425
wfh just means you're such a lesser wagie your presence isn't even required
it's what you give to women and retards, not men
>>
>>534131498
At 200k u are already set(unless u are in commiefornia) so I would stay
>>534131535
What if its for my dream field? its a ground breaking new technology. Getting my foot in the door might be worth it. Ill know I'll spend every morning in traffic cursing my existance. Maybe I can get a fsd tesla? It's honestly mainly the commute that I dread
>>
I basically took an effective 20k salary cut so I could WFH (they offered me 20k to return to work). Why the fuck would I want to sit in traffic and engage in long house female office dynamics? This especially became true now that I have small children. Oh boy I did I just love going to Jewish daycare with a bunch of quirk chungus millennial office bitches and then send my kids to day care. The 20k a year opportunity cost is worth it.
>>
>>534131605
U will retire ealier with 180 than 125k, you have to be white to post here
>>
>>534131674
Okay but what if the difference was a genuinely excited role that's AI proof vs a boring one? Maybe u can tough it out for a few years then find a wfh role with a different comapny. U usually need a masters degree to get roles like this..
>>
>>534130254
>Be American
>Find your dream job
>Make a pointless thread about it
>In your OP still find a way to make it about NIGGERS
>>
>>534131535
Exactly, I have a 5 month old. Unless they threaten to fire me, I'm not going back. Boomers want us to have kids to pay for their pensions when they are 100, but they don't want us to spend any time with our kids like they did. No thanks I actually want a good relationships with my kids and not turn into a crotchety old boomer who hates their kids and whose kids hate them.
>>
>>534131646
Consider me a woman or retard I guess - wouldn't trade wfh for (((your))) respect
>>
>>534131708
>UuuuuUuuuuuuu
Go back to Bangladesh, jam boy
>>

>dream job
do goyim really?
>>
>>534131875
No, u
>>
>>534132027
U come to work everyday and do something u arent passionate about? How do you cope? That sounds like hell on earth
>>
>>534131117
>>534131498
If u don't mind me asking, how old are you anons? I'm far junior to you both in terms of career, pay, and age. I'm age 31, yet stuck making $72k/yr. I'm trying to job-hop for a year now with no luck. Oh and it's $72k CAD which is about $50k USD.

My life sucks. Give me some hopium.
>>
>>534132243
Lie on ur resume and actually mass apply to jobs instead of 5-6 apps a week thinking u are doing ur due diligence
>>
>>534131507
I feel for you fren, ok take it, but don't wait for 3 years. Don't become complacent with being a wagie.
>>
>>534131646
this is retsarded, jfl, makes no sense

>>534132243
1. lie more on resume
2. apply
3. if it doesnt work in a while, go back to step 1
>>
>>534132243
you can buy saars from pakistan or seamonkeys from the philippines to mass apply for you. human limit is 30/day usually so in 2 mths you're at 1000s apps. It'll cost you 2k but at 1000 apps you should get 1-3 offers. Those are my stats they're pretty constant.
>>
We told you about the neet life
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH
>>
>>534130254
fuck you commie. drive to work and be more productive.
>>
>>534131663
Again, if it makes sense for your situation and longterm plan then do whatever.
But I know dipshits who work 100 hours for slightly better salary than me on-site just because they fell for the whole "grindset" meme
>>534132243
You're actually older than me. Idk what kinda money that is in Canada in terms of living costs but if you do more than 15 minutes of actual work a week for that pay you really need to reconsider your career.
Again, a job is just min-maxing effort to salary.
Your ratio seems very low rn

It won't get you a raise or promotion either. You just need business savvy and connections for that. Actually solving problems doesn't matter in tech

lol
>>
>>534135817
Don't get me wrong, we all went through that mess, it takes time and dedication to build a company that make money
I don't know your domain of expertise but nowadays there are lot of opportunities especially with that AI era, its easier to build and fail then try again
Please build stuff aside from your job, don't take your job too seriously, build your own escape
There are many options, even building your own trading program with agents is a thing nowadays
>>
>>534132243
42 but it took me 10 years to get where I am. I was around your age. You just work your ass off, show your worth and opportunities come.
