Can someone explain to me false rape hysteria? Whenever a man is gets accused of rape everyone immediately tries to metaphorically lynch him. They don’t even care if he did it or not. The accusation is enough to ruin their life.

She might have given consent, he might have started, and then she falls limp. Maybe he does too. In any event, two witnesses come by, white knighting, and start hollering. He either wakes up and panics, or perhaps he was still semi-conscious, panics, runs off (shitbag move, leaving her there naked too, but not a criminal act). She can't remember giving consent, he can't remember much either, not enough to give a credible account of what happened to defend himself from the accusations, and #metoo goes apeshit with "believe all women".
